The Champlain Society is a Toronto-based organization that seeks to advance knowledge of Canadian history by publishing primary records of voyages, travels, correspondence, diaries and governmental documents and memoranda.

The records consist of correspondence, administrative files, meeting minute, financial documents, and membership records (which are housed in unnumbered boxes arranged numerically by membership number). The collection also includes typescripts of several publications issued by The Champlain Society, manuscripts of works not published by the Society, and additional materials documenting the history and activities of The Champlain Society.
