Dr. James Bertram Collip (1892-1965) was co-discoverer of insulin; professor of biochemistry at the University of Alberta; Head of the Department of Biochemistry, Director of the Institute of Endocrinology at McGill University; and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Head of the Department of Medical Research at the University of Western Ontario.
