Contains correspondence files of William John Knox Harkness (ca. 1922-1944) and Frederick Ernest John Fry (1939-1945); subject files mostly relating to fisheries (ca. 1924-1956); correspondence, subject and financial files (1928-1969), and photographs.

Contains pproximately 400 lantern slides from the Department of Biology, assembled primarily by Professors Benjamin Arthur Bensley and Archibald Gowanlock Huntsman. The images are of zoological specimens, scientists, and places, including the Atlantic Biological Station in St. Andrew's, New Brunswick.

Contains charcoal drawings and photographs prepared by Dr. B. A. Bensley, chair of the Dept. of Zoology from 1912-1934, for his unpublished work on comparative dental anatomy. Although the whereabouts of the manuscript which would accompany these illustrations is unknown, captions for the images have survived and are filed at the beginning of the graphic records.

Contains a photograph of a group of students on the steps of the University Biological museum.

Records consist of administrative correspondence, personnel files, biographical files, and student departmental brochures. Also included is information on the openings of the Biological Department in 1889, the Ramsay Wright Zoological Laboratories in 1965, and the Huntsman Library in 1978.

Contains ersonnel files of Department of Zoology faculty members, E.J. Crossman, C.K. Govind, J.E.I. Lai-Fook, and W.E. Swinton. Files also contain seconday biographical information such as obituaries, curriculum vitaes, and notices

This accession is a collection of teaching charts used by the Department of Zoology from the 1940s through to the 1970s. Measuring on average 120 cm x 180 cm, most of the charts are paintings by in-house artists James Bray and Irene Nosyk. The paintings were either based on original renderings from microscopic views or laboratory samples or were copied from printed charts and published illustrations.A card index created by the Department of Zoology was also transferred with the collection and has served, along with information printed in on the original charts, to describe each item.This accession also includes digital photographs documenting the Special Presentation event with Irene Nosyk at the former Zoology Charts Room, Sept. 6 2007 (photographer: Norm Hatton)

This accession consists of photographs and videos documenting the faculty, staff and several events held at the Department of Zoology. Sound recordings consist mainly of recorded lectures from BIO 110. There are also four boxes of administrative files documenting mainly external reviews, planning committees and various reports.

Consists of records related to the Department of Zoology's Landscape Committee, specifically their project called "Zoo Woods", which was a green space project situated between the Sidney Smith building and the Ramsey Wright Laboratories. The records in this accession come from one large 3-ring binder and contain correspondence regarding the Zoo Woods project, clippings from 'Zoonews' and print-outs on related landscaping projects, site inventories, and research materials on plant-life to be used in the project. The accession also contains slides documenting the project.

The accession primarily consists of Zoology departmental newsletter drafts and related correspondence. The administrative records, such as department reports, program management and staffing plans, are also included in this accession.
