This is the third accession of Alan Stein’s Papers by the Fisher. Much of the material relates to Stein’s work as a bookmaker, illustrator and printmaker in the production of the fine press book On Spirit Lake. It contains original illustrations, engraved woodblocks, and design notes, as well as administrative records such as grant applications, invoices and correspondence between the authors who contributed to the book. This collection also includes material produced by Stein’s fine press imprint Church Street Press such as broadsides, pamphlets, bookmarks, advertisements, and posters.
