Biographical history

Talivaldis Kenins, composer and teacher, was born in Liepaja, Latvia, 23 April 1919. His teachers included Joseph Wihtol in Riga and Olivier Messiaen in Paris. He taught at the University of Toronto from 1952 to 1984 and died in Toronto, 20 January 2008.
