Biographical history

Beatrice ‘Bea’ Ferneyhough was an activist, writer and member of the Communist Party of Canada. She also wrote under the pen name, Catharine Vance. In 1994, her poems were published in the volume "Singing in the Night : the complete poems of Beatrice Ferneyhough."
