Scope and content

Series consists of textual records documenting Nevitte’s education and career. The series begins with early papers early papers from Nevitte’s time as a doctoral student at Duke University, curricula vitae, and a biography for Nevitte’s website. This is followed by records documenting his professional and academic activities with the University of Toronto’s Department of Political Science from 1995 to 2018. Included are memorandums, teaching schedules, notes related to course planning for the Methods Area group, correspondence with colleagues and admin, annual activity reports, Ph.D. exam committee documents, and reference letters Nevitte provided the Ph.D. students he supervised. Additionally, there is a file with correspondence, course schedules, an offer of employment, and pension plan related to Nevitte’s start at the University of Toronto.

Digital files include two photographs of Nevitte, results from a departmental office survey, PhD student evaluations, and tenure recommendations from his work on the Department of Political Science’s Promotions and Tenure Committee.
