Scope and content

Subseries consists of records relating to Nevitte’s activities as a co- investigator for the Canadian Election Study (CES) from 1992 – 2011. The CES is a large-scale, nation-wide survey conducted every federal election year. The data provide insight into Canadian’s political behaviour and attitudes towards the government, political parties and party leaders, economic conditions, NAFTA, social programs, immigration, family structures, LGBTQ+ rights, and women’s rights. The records include technical documentation; codebooks; questionnaires; datasets, including large format data printouts; financial reports; and a report on Canadian citizenship prepared for Canada Heritage.

Subseries also includes technical documentation, codebooks, and data sets from the from the 1965, 1968, 1974, and 1988 Canadian Election Studies, prior to when Nevitte was a Principal Investigator.

Digital file consists of a draft letter in response to a report related to the SSHRCC Midterm Site Visit for the 2004 CES.
