Biographical history

Charles Pachter, born in Toronto, is one of Canada's leading contemporary artists. He is a painter, printmaker, sculptor, designer, historian and lecturer. He holds degrees from the University of Toronto, the Sorbonne, and the Cranbrook Academy of Art. His works hang in public and private collections in London, New York, Berlin, Paris, Shanghai, Los Angeles and Tokyo. His publications include The Journals of Susanna Moodie, a colloboration with Margaret Atwood.
