Series consists of incoming and outgoing correspondence between Prof. Davis and colleagues, principally in the international mathematical and scientific community. Based on Davis’ own arrangement of the records, the series is divided into two sub-series: mixed correspondence, organized by year; and correspondence with colleagues in mathematics, organized alphabetically by name. All files are open with the exception of correspondence containing evaluative statements about colleagues and students. For material concerning colleagues, a restriction of 40 years following the last date of file activity has been placed on the material. For students, material is identified as restricted.
