File consists of correspondence with Thomas (Tom) Nee (1920-2008), conductor and good friend of Derek Healey. Nee was the music director and conductor of the New Hampshire Musical Festival (1960-1992); professor in the Music Department of the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) (1967-1991, chairman 1974-1977); and director of La Jolla Symphony Orchestra in California (1967-1968). Nee conducted the following performances of pieces by Healey:
- Arctic images, op. 40
- Performed by the UCSD Orchestra at UCSD (March 10 and 17, 1974)
- A Shape-note symphony, op. 53 (dedicated to Tom Nee, who premiered each movement individually with the New Hampshire Festival Orchestra at three separate concerts given during the New Hampshire Music Festivals in 1975, 1977, and 1979).
- "Primrose in Paradise" premiered in Meredith, Plymouth, and Luecadia, New Hampshire (July 1975)
- "Sweet Prospect" premiered in Plymouth, Gilford, and Meredith, New Hampshire (July 12-14, 1977)
- "Tribulation and the Morning Trumpet" premiered in Plymouth, Gilford, and Meredith, New Hampshire (August 7-9, 1979).
- Salal : an idyll, op. 71
- Premiered by the New Hampshire Festival Orchestra in Plymouth, Meredith, and Luecadia, New Hampshire (July and August 1992).
