Biographical history

Florence Randal Livesay, born in 1874, was a journalist and author who wrote for newspapers and magazines in western and eastern Canada. She also wrote poetry, fiction, and literary criticism, and she translated Ukrainian poetry into English. She died in 1953.

Scope and content

The collection consists of the typescript of a novel, The Moon and the Morning Star, with many alterations as well as a suggested epilogue. With it are two pages of notes and a holograph letter from Livesay to Miss Byam in which she discusses the historical background of the novel.
