This accession documents Mr. Clement's student activities as an undergraduate at University College and as a law student at the Faculty of Law. Series 1 to 3 document his involvement with University College student organizations and contain correspondence, minutes of meetings, flyers, draft articles, financial statements, and subject files documenting his role as a student representative and member of various committees and President (1981-1982) of the University College Literary and Athletic Society (the students' administrative council for University College). His post-graduation participation as a member of the executive of the University College Alumni Association is also included.

Series 4 and 5 are closely related to the previous series, in that they document his role on various University of Toronto administrative bodies mainly as a representative from University College and as an alumnus. Included as well are files relating to other campus groups such as U. of T. Progressive Conservatives Association, and Lawyers for Fundamental Freedoms. Series VI contains student course materials from his undergraduate and law degree years such as term papers, course outlines, lecture notes and exams.

Course materials

This series consists of files on various courses taken as an undergraduate and as a student in the Faculty of Law. Among the undergraduate files (1979-1983) are notes, term papers, exams, reading lists and course outlines for courses in history, political science, economics, English, and french. Law course materials (1983-1986) include courses in civil procedure, torts, evidence, taxation and moot court.

University of Toronto

This series documents Mr. Clement's activities on various University of Toronto committees during his years as an undergraduate student and Faculty of Law student and his involvement with other campus student organizations such as the U. of T. Progressive Conservatives Association, the Students' Law Society, Lawyers for fundamental freedoms, and Hart House Debates Committee.

University of Toronto Alumni Association

Mr. Clement was the University College representative on the UTAA Council of Presidents from 1988 to 1990. Included in this series are two file containing correspondence, minutes of meetings, and reports.

University College Alumni Association

This series consists of minutes of meetings, correspondence, and subject files relating to Mr. Clement's participation in the UC Alumni Association as a member of the executive (Vice-president, 1988-1989; President, 1989-1990) and representative on the College of Electors (from 1991). Of particular interest are records relating to the publication of A not unsightly building: University College, Toronto and Its History (1988-1989), the UC Fireball, UC Alumni Magazine and the Provostial Review Committee (1988-89)

University College

Both during and after his academic years at University College, Mr. Clement continued to be an active member, participating on various committees of the College and representing the College on U. of T. bodies. This series consists of files documenting his role as a student representative on the U.C. Council including the Programme Committee (1979-81), on the Dean's Search Committee and Review Committee, the Graduate Students' Committee and while he was a member of the University College Alumni Association. University College Literary & Athletic Society

Tony Clement was President of the "UC Lit", the students' administrative council of University College from 1981-1982. This series contains minutes of meetings, general and subject arranged correspondence, constitution revisions, and other files relating to functions of the Council such as elections, orientation, and finances.
