This accession contains material collected by the University College Archives. Most of the records have been collected and donated over the course of the College's existence, and range from personal records of prominent faculty members (Barker Fairley, George Needler, John McCaul), and various University College departments and committees, to more ephemeral and biographical reference material generally relating to the College. The accession also contains a large amount of photographs and sounds and moving images, as well as artifacts from the College.

University College. Office of the Registrar

Consists of records relating to the Senate Committee on Applications and Memorials (1966-1971), the Special Committee on Calendars (1964-1968), and the Committee on Scholarships and Awards (1962-1969). Also included are records on Senate appointments and elections (1944-1971), and student petitions (1966).

University College

Minutes of the Joint Faculties of Arts (1892-1897), minutes of the University College Council (1890-1958), matriculation scholarship lists (1898-1915), and two examination ledgers (1895-1905). The minutes of the College Council and of the Joint Faculties of Arts also exist on two positive and two negative 35mm. microfilm reels.

University College

Consists of records of three University College societies, including Regulations and Rules of Order of the Natural Science Association (1880), minutes, correspondence and records of the University College Literary and Athletic Society (1922-1932, 1941-1942, 1950-1958), and minutes of the Toronto Branch of the English Goethe Society (1947-1971). Also includes photographs showing graduating classes, Literary Society members, view of U.C. grounds, Canadian Officer Training Course, Canadian Expeditionary Force during World War I (1901-1974).

Consists of minutes, reports, correspondence and cash books of the University College Literary and Scientific [later Athletic] Society (1860-1962), correspondence and reports of the Women's Undergraduate Association of University College (1928-1952), minutes, cash books, lists and reports of the University College Alumnae Association (1893-1967), as well as miscellaneuous records of the Women's Literary Society, Women's Union, Glee Club, Women's Club, Three Arts Club, the Council and student residences (1879-1953).

University College

Consists of correspondence, reports and applications relating to the admission, activities, and administration of University College residences under Claude Thomas Bissell, Dean in Residence (1946-1956) and Hugh Ian Macdonald, Dean of Men; includes files relating to the University of Toronto Men's Residence, Devonshire House.
