File includes the following by Talivaldis Kenins (as well as other works by other Latvian-Canadian composers): Sonata no. 2 for violin and piano; Folk song and variations for trumpet and piano; Festival fanfares for brass ensemble; Songs of youth for mixed choir (Latvian folk music); and the Concerto da Camera no. 1 (world premiere). The festival took place in MacMillan Theatre, Edward Johnson Building, University of Toronto.

Item is a sample from the broadcast Carnet des arts from Montreal (Radio-Canada), where for several years Kenins served with music reportages from Toronto, occasionally travelling across Canada together with Mari-Yvonne Kendergi and Aline Legrand (the producer of the program).

Recording of George B. Kenins and Babby

File is an audio reel with recordings of Sonata op. 58 in D for cello and piano by Mendelssohn; Concerto in A minor for cello and string orchestra by Vivaldi; and Allegro Appassionato for cello by Saint-Saens. A note on the cover reads: "Solo cellist in this recording is George B. Kenins and Babby is the accompanist. Both play somewhat miserably because of a combination of over- and underwork, as this is the third day after the Grade 10 examination (May 24, 1969)."
