Fonds consists of the compositions, recordings, and papers of Derek Holman, a former professor at the Faculty of Music, University of Toronto. The fonds contains manuscript scores and parts by Derek Holman, including original compositions, arrangements and realizations, juvenilia, and sketch materials; audio and video recordings of Holman’s compositions and performances; papers and photographs from Holman’s work with various choirs and churches (including at the University of London, University of Toronto, University of Trinity College, Bishop-Strachan, Royal School of Church Music, St. Simon’s, Concord Singers, Croydon Bach Society, Grace Church-on-the-Hill, and the Canadian Children’s Opera Company); and, Holman’s personal papers, including awards, certificates, degrees, and notebooks.

Radiance : The Bishop Strachan School celebrates

File consists of a commercially-released recording by the Bishop Strachan School, which included a recording of Derek Holman's "Gloria" and "Conventry Carol." File includes a thank you card from David Atkinson.

File contains a recording by Marshall Arts Productions from the Kitchener premiere performance at Centre in the Square by the Kitchener Waterloo Philharmonic Choir and the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, conducted by Howard Dyck with Sookyung Park, soprano ; Anita Krause, mezzo-soprano ; Michael Colvin, tenor ; and, Gregory Dahl, bass baritone. The concert included a performance of Derek Holman's Magnifcat and Mass in C Minor by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, 2005 completion by Robert D. Levin.

Alexander Dobson, baritone : commissioner's recording

File was submitted in application to the Canada Council for the Arts: Commissioning of a Canadian Compositions Project Grant, August 2003, and includes an excerpt from the song cycle The Centred Passion by Derek Holman with Doreen Uren Simmons, piano. Dobson and Simmons performed this piece in "A Song Recital" at St. James Anglican Church (November 10, 2002) and in "An Evening at Lotti's" at Spey House, Mayfield (November 18, 2003).

Fifty years of Christmas music : the Choir of St. Simon-the-Apostle, Toronto

File includes a recording of "God rest ye merry gentlemen", arranged by Derek Holman and Magnificat in C.V.Stanford from Magnificat English Church Music from Five Centuries by Derek Holman.
