Fonds consists of the records of the Registrar and Associate Registrar, primarily relating to Victoria College students and student records as well as awards, prizes and scholarships, convocations, registration procedures, baccalaureate services, receptions, counselling, etc. Fonds also consists of material related to the Registrar's work with the Senate. Records include correspondence, annual reports, as well as ephemera and photographs.

Fonds consists of three series: Correspondence/subject files, 1893–2013; Student records, 1837–2008; Photographs.

Student records

Series consists of several subseries which include records from Cobourg: One subseries contains Registers, Directories, Marks, 1837-1946. The remaining subseries consist of student record cards. These cards often contain a photo of the student.

[Register of Students at Victoria University, 1872-1892]

Consists of a register book of arts, theology, science, specialist students at Victoria College/University, 1872-1892. The register contains name of student, age, birthplace (to 1875), residence (from 1876), parent or guardian. The book was produced by J. Sailsbury, a Cobourg publisher and bookseller to Victoria University.

Administration and General Files

Sub-series consists of ongoing subject and correspondence files for the activities and responsibilities of the Registrar's Office, including provision of services, creation of policies and procedures, office administration, participation in associations and discussions with University of Toronto Faculty of Arts and Science, campus, office and program planning, attendance at conferences and meetings, financial activities, and program reviews.

Records include reports, correspondence, planning documents, statistics, mail-outs, correspondence, forms, etc.

Sub-series also contains correspondence with the Department of Veteran Affairs about students who served in WWII.

Correspondence/subject files

Series consists of the subject and correspondence files of the Registrar and the Associate Registrar and cover the main activities of the office such as providing services to students, planning and organizing events including convocations and installations, administering scholarships and awards as well as acting as secretary to the Senate. The series is broken down into the following sub-series:
