Oral history interview with Professor Ezra Schabas, conducted by Valerie Schatzker. Discusses family influences and early musical education, World War II service, post-war instruction and study in Europe, the development and curricula of the Royal Conservatory of Music and the Faculty of Music, and faculty and staff associated with both institutions. Focusses on the period 1952-1986, compares Faculty of Music and Royal Conservatory of Music to leading American institutions such as the Juilliard School of Music and the Eastman School of Music.
