Early personal photographs

Sub-series consists of approximately 221 slides taken by or collected by Nouwen. These slides are early personal photographs of Nouwen's.

Workbooks

Subseries contains workbooks created by pupils in Ontario schools. These workbooks cover a range of subjects, and many of them contain graded work.

Original compositions and arrangements

Subseries consists of manuscript scores and parts for original compositions, arrangements, and hymn settings by J. Churchill Arlidge. Pieces include those for flute and piano, voice and piano, medleys, choral works, pieces for orchestra, and others. Subseries includes Arlidge's early compositions and arrangements (ca. 1857-1863).

Proposed New Chapel

This sub-series consists of an artist's conceptions for a proposed new chapel for Trinity College, as well as a set of detailed watercolour working drawings.

Subseries consists of technique exercises written out by J. Churchill Arlidge, most likely for his flute students.

Music for performance

Subseries consists of pieces and arrangements by composers other than J. Churchill Arlidge, but copied for Arlidge for particular performances. Subseries also includes sheet music with Arlidge's annotations for performance.

Other pieces, fragments, and sketches

Subseries consists of pieces by other composers, most of which were likely written out by J. Churchill Arlidge so that he could add flute obbligato parts. Most pieces in the subseries were likely performed at least once by Arlidge during his career, but the date of performance is unknown.

Teaching Contracts

Subseries contains teaching contracts created between 1874 and 1946. These contracts include both completed contract forms as well as fully handwritten contracts, and contain information about the period of employment, salary, and terms and conditions of the teacher's hire.

Individual photographs

Subseries consists of individual photographs from 1900-1960. Photographs depict Kathleen Parlow's life, musical career (including photographs of the Parlow Strong Quartet), and travels to various places including Hawaii and Asia. Also includes photographs of various individuals including but not limited to: Kathleen Parlow; Minnie Parlow; Leopold Auer; Thomas Edison; Arthur Hinton; Harold Bauer; Samuel Gilbert Colt; Willen Willeke; Johan Halvorsen; Henry Scheadieck; Erich Wolff; Ernesto Consolo; Wanda De Stein; Mischa Elman; Marie Hall; Jascha Heifetz.

Textual records

Sub-series I consists of the textual records pertaining to Dr. Farrar’s family and personal life from 1881 to 1970. The records consists mainly of correspondence to and from Dr. Farrar’s mother, Marie Farrar, his father, Thomas Jefferson Farrar, his first wife, Evelyn Lewis Farrar, and their daughters, Evelyn and Clarice. In addition, the records also document his friends, early life and high school education in Cattaraugus, New York. Types of records include: invitations and cards; marriage certificates; passports; personal business correspondence; correspondence with Cattaraugus friends; and high school course notes. Also included are Dr. Farrar’s personal writings such as a diary, a travel diary, and short stories.

Plans of Trinity College Grounds

This sub-series consists of one plan of survey showing the east side of the Trinity College Grounds, showing property lines, fences, the location of the Bickford home, and detailed measurements, and a printed plan of the property purchased in 1882 from the Crawford family by the Ontario Industrial Loan and Investment Co.

Minutes and related records of the Board of Regents

Sub-series consists of the minutes and related records of the Board of Regents of Victoria University. In the earlier records, university federation is a dominant subject as well as the move from Cobourg to Toronto . Also included are the minutes of other committees, including the executive committee, and a building committee concerned with women's residences, and minutes of a special meeting concerning the University Bill.

Currently the Board of Regents meets four times a year, which includes a Strategy Day

Plan of proposed subdivision of Trinity College Property

This sub-series consists of one plan of survey showing the proposed subdivision of Trinity College property at the Queen Street West location, 1886. Survey shows lands bounded on the south by Queen Street, on the north by Arthur Street [Dundas], and Crawford Street on the west with the E. O. Bickford property bordering the eastern front. Several proposed properties are outlined on a street grid overlaid on the property.

Subseries consists of records relating to Kathleen Parlow's family, including her mother, Minnie Parlow.

Professional and promotional material

Subseries consists of drafts of articles by Kathleen Parlow, including: "Art and Music," published in the Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto Monthly Bulletin (April 1953); and "Student days in Russia," published in the Canadian Music Journal (Fall 1961).

Historical photographs

Jones, in his capacity of as Engineering Archivist, collected numerous photographs documenting the history of the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering and its predecessor the School of Practical Science. Included in this collection are numerous portraits of faculty, images of staff, and of student groups such as graduating classes and clubs, as well as student activities. There are photos of the Ajax Campus as well as images of the Survey Camp at Gull Lake. Finally, there are few photographs of University buildings.
