File consists of an address given by Sr. Sue Mosteller at the French Renewal in the Summer of 1985 titled "Personal Accompaniment", containing brief handwritten notes by Nouwen on the back page, and a handout titled "Accompaniment of New Assistants".

Miscellaneous materials from L'Arche Daybreak

File consists of a copy of a letter sent by Sr. Sue Mosteller to L. Jackson, Director of the Mental Retardation Resources Branch of the Ministry of Community and Social Services (Government of Ontario) dated March 26, 1979. It is not clear as to the purpose or use Nouwen had for this document.

File consists of six letters from Don McClanen of the Ministry of Money (Gaithersburg, MD), one of them a faxed copy, and two of them addressed also to Sue Mosteller; a memo from McClanen to Nouwen, Fred Bratman, Jim Wallis, Gordon Cosby, and Dale Stitt with notes from their April 22 meeting at which Nouwen spoke about his wish to build and endow a retreat centre at Dayspring; a faxed copy of a letter from McClanen to Bratman and copies of two letters from Wallis to McClanen, two form letters from McClanen regarding fundraising and workshops organized by the Ministry of Money; typed and edited notes from a retreat for a Ministry of Money group at Daybreak led by Nouwen and Mosteller; brochures about stewardship and Ministry of Money workshops; and agendas and typed notes from these workshops. Oral History Proposal

File consists of records and correspondence related to the grant proposal submitted by the Henri Nouwen Society to the Louisville Institute to fund 'Completing the Vision: The Oral History of Henri Nouwen'. The primary correspondence is between James E. Lewis and William Brosend of the Louisville Institute and Joe Vorstermans and Sue Mosteller of the Henri Nouwen Society. The file also includes draft versions of work plans, budgets, final reports and the proposal; final copies are also in the file.

Interview with Sister Sue Mosteller

File consists of an interview with Sister Sue Mosteller interviewed by Elisabeth Pozzi-Thanner. Mosteller is a member of the L'Arche Daybreak (Richmond Hill, ON) community, Literary Executrix of the Henri Nouwen Society and board member of the Henri Nouwen Societies in Canada and the United States. There is a note in the file from Joe Vorstermans regarding scheduling a third interview. A second note indicates the audio and video cassettes have been removed from the file for transcription purposes. The interview is not transcribed and is only available on audio and video cassette.

File consists of letters from Sue Mosteller to Henri Nouwen regarding her [sabbatical?] in Texas and feedback about Nouwen’s writing. Included is an account, by Nouwen, titled “The Winter Garden Play in February, 1995 and facts and figures about the production of “One Hear at a Time”. Also in the file is correspondence between Mosteller and Laurent Nouwen regarding the handling of Nouwen’s estate and Franz Jonah’s translation of The Inner Voice of Love; a book reviews of Mosteller’s Body Broken, Body Blessed: Reflections From Life in Community and A Place to Hold My Shaky Heart; photocpies of a 1997 Toronto Star profile of Sue Mosteller and her work with L’Arche Daybreak by Janice Mawhinney; a letter of recommendation for Paula Kilcoyne; an outline for a course about the Pre-Vatican II Rots of Contemporary Spirituality and a recommended bibliography for a course about Church as Mission; certificate recognizing Mosteller as an Earth Angel; Mosteller’s curriculum vitae; and miscellaneous reference material about religious book publishing and Nouwen related events.

Sue's completed engagements 2001-2002

File consists of correspondence and administrative documentation regarding Sue Mosteller’s attendance and participation in various events and retreats. Included area agendas, itineraries and promotional material; event invitation letters; copies of letters and emails sent by Mosteller to event organizers; and travel arrangement documents. Also in the file is a listing of events titled Calendar Files: Sue’s Completed Engagements; Gordon Henry’s curriculum vitae; a biographical sketch about Mosteller; copies of a letter from University of St. Michael’s College President, Richard M. Alway, notifying Mosteller of the school’s decision to award her the degree of Doctor of Sacred Letters, honoris causa and inviting her to a convocation ceremony to receive the honour; and Beth Poter’s curriculum vitae for use in her nomination for the Religion Division of the American Association on Mental Retardation’s Henri J.M. Sue Mosteller in conversation with Laurent Nouwen, Sr

File consists of a video recording of Sr. Sue Mosteller interviewing Laurent Nouwen. The interview took place in Nouwen's home with an interpreter. Nouwen spoke in Dutch and it is not possible to hear the interpreter's voice. The interview is long and covers a range of topics. Also includes footage of Maria Nouwen's gravesite and Nouwen's dog.

Remembering a wounded healer

File consists of an article written by Sr. Sue Mosteller on Nouwen, including a photocopy. The article was published in The Journal of Christian Healing 19, no. 3 (Fall 1997): 3 - 8.

Regional Meeting 1983
