A concert of myths : for flute and orchestra

File consists of sketches, the manuscript score, and master ink transparency parts for a piece commissioned by the Toronto Arts Council. The title page is designed by Mary-Lou Payzant with an illustration derived from the marble carving of a flute player on the side panel of the Ludovisi Throne (ca. 460 B.C.). The work is dedicated to Robert Aitken. The work consists of three movements:

  1. Pan and Syrinx
  2. Narcissus and echo
  3. Orpheus and Eurydice.
