Collection consists of audiovisual materials featuring recordings of events given by and used by members of l'Arche International/Internationale. This material includes 1708 audio cassettes, 37 videocassettes, 8 film reels, and 78 audio reels. Much of the material features recordings created at L'Arche retreats internationally, such as the Covenant Retreat, Renewal Retreat, and Faith and Light Retreat. Prominent speakers include Jean Vanier, Henri Nouwen, Joe Egan, Robert Larouche and Sue Mosteller.

The majority of the audio files feature Jean Vanier, usually speaking at retreats. The film reels are recordings made and collected by L'Arche Daybreak, and feature a CBC film on Daybreak (from 1970), pilgramages and trips made by Faith and Light and Daybreak. There is also a film reel of Jean Vanier.

Collection has been arranged into eight series:

8. Audio reels and film reels

Collection also includes a binder which functioned as a catalogue for many of the cassettes that were housed at l'Arche Daybreak until 2004 and 2006. This binder is located in series 7.

Content notes (or transcription) from beginning of the recording: It is indeed the last will and testament of Jesus to give to us, his disciples, this sign of loving service. He, our Lord and master, goes to each one, kneeling at their feet, washing them and drying them. We know full well that apeter was first shocked and resisted, but changes his mind quickly as he wants to be deeply linked with Jesus. It is fitting that we would now repeat this sacramental ritual that Jesus left us as an example to be followed.

This episode of Jesus and the woman caught in adultery is really a beautiful invitation to meet and to be touched by the loving compassion of pour God in Jesus. We see the importance of the gift and grace of knowing our sinfulness, of knowing our need for God, of knowing our need for forgiveness, There is really only one reason that we would want to know about our sinfulness. It is so that we would indeed know more deeply the tender mercy of God.

To begin each day grateful for what will be given and to end each day grateful for what has been given. If we go to bed �out of tune� we will not sleep well and maybe then starting the next day out of tune as well. Don�t let the sun go down on your anger. Allow the spirit of God to put our beings back in tune and at peace before we go to bed. So it�s important to give thanks and discover where God has been in our lives day by day.

And to our need for inner healing and our need to be forgiven or to forgive, which is the work of the Holy Spirit. Talk#8: We often deny or run from the truth of our own being. Jesus comes to teach us the truth and beauty of being human. Yes, he comes to reveal to us the unconditional love of God for us as we are, here and now. But he also comes to reveal to us ourselves.

Content notes (or transcription) from beginning of the recording: Talk #3: We long to meet Jesus. But there is a fear in us about deeper relationship. Fear of being hurt or what the other might ask of me. Yet there is a longing and need we have for communion with Jesus. There is a tension between what we long for, but also fear. Talk #4: The heart of Jesus is a welcoming heart, which listens for the cry of the poor. Jesus is eager to welcome us as we are, as we come. We need to trust this welcome and to let go of our false images of God as judge.
