Rodney DeMartini, AIDS Conference, Summer 1990 - May 28-29, 1990

File consists of correspondence from Rodney DeMartini, regarding Nouwen's possible participation in the AIDS conference. Includes Nouwen's handwritten notes on the subject of "Living in a Time of Grace" and a letter from Nouwen to DeMartini about his deliberation regarding accepting the invitation to be keynote speaker. [In the end Nouwen did not participate in this conference until 1994 and 1995.]

File consists of correspondence and other material from Mary McCann, regarding Nouwen's participation as a speaker for the Toronto - Shalom Program in Spiritual Direction, sponsored by Regis College. Includes a brochure and schedule for the event.

Interview with Stephen Kendrick - June 25, 1990

File consists of correspondence regarding a request by Rev. Stephen Kendrick to interview Nouwen for a book on spiritual autobiography. Includes Nouwen's reply indicating it would be best to discuss arrangements over the phone. Annotations on the letter indicate June 25th as the day for the interview. Also includes a thank you card from Kendrick.

St. Stephen's Chapel - December 6, 1990

File consists of memos from Nouwen to some members of the Daybreak community, inviting them to the Annual Eucharist and Dinner of the Ansgar Foundation at St. Stephen's Chapel and the National Club in Toronto. Includes copies of the seating arrangement and notes back from Sue Mosteller and Nathan Ball suggesting who from the community should be invited to join them. Also includes a pamphlet in Dutch and a photograph of an alter with Dutch annotations on the back.
