This subseries contains annual reports, final reports, and miscellaneous meeting minutes from Blissymbolics Communication Institute - Canada. The bulk of the material is from the earliest years of the Bliss Project when it took place at the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, the then Ontario Crippled Children's Centre.

Series contains material documenting specific studies and general research within the Studies of Familial Apolipoprotein CII Deficiency project. Initiated in 1977, the project aimed to study family members with apolipoprotein C-II deficiencies in order to establish the clinical and genetic characteristics of the condition. Lead investigators were Diane Wilson Cox, Carl Breckenridge, and Alick Little. The project also included collaborative studies with external researchers. Included in the material are records related to the APO CII Deficient Pedigree Study and the Apoloprotein CII deficiency: An investigation of abnormalities of Lipids and Lipoproteins and the Anemia of Homozygotes project as well as documentation of field trips to the United States (Texas. Records include proposals, correspondence with patients, fellow researchers and doctors, patient records, data print-outs, family study questionnaires, lab results, and reports.

Included in this group are letters of request, letters of recommendation, school transcripts, personal resumes, etc. The materials has been arranged alphabetically by the name of the person who is applying for the teaching position or scholarship.

Specific publications include Pastoral Psychology, Sojourners, Harvard Divinity Bulletin, Feu et Lumiere, The New Oxford Review, National Catholic Reporter, Weavings, and Zaken die God raken. Articles from church newsletters and other sources with limited publication are also included. In addition to featuring unique writings, the articles also represent published material that has been excerpted, condensed, adapted and reprinted from Nouwen's books, articles, and conference speeches. This sub-series contains only those articles written by Nouwen which he collected and does not contain all of his published articles as is evident by several incomplete article series.

The subseries B.4 Assistant/Associate Dean covers the years 1969 to 1970 and 1984. The assistant or associate dean (the title changed several times over the course of the university’s history) has similar responsibilities to the dean. The assistant/associate dean’s files included here comprise correspondence from Assistant Dean J. Riddick and one academic handbook, published by the dean’s office.

Ezra Schabas was appointed Chair of the Orchestra Openings/Mobility Committee of this Association in 1990. This committee publicizes vacant positions in symphony orchestras. Files in this subseries contain documents relating to the operation of the Association including minutes, correspondence, reports of the Orchestra Openings Committee, the Executive Committee, records relating to programmes, government relations and Orchestra study for the Canada Council.

Prof. Schabas was a founding member and the first president of the ACCM from 1980-1984. This series contains files relating to its conferences in Toronto (1980), Banff (1981), Quebec (1982), and one file of general correspondence, notes,and reports (1982-1989).

The subseries D.4 Athletic and Recreation Services covers the years 1967, 1971 through 1974, and 1980. The subseries includes pamphlets, handbooks, a yearbook, and posters.

This sub-series consists of 4 printed drawings showing the changes made to Trinity's athletic field, north of the College buildings, and south of Varsity Stadium.

In 1985, the Mulroney government appointed Dr. Franklin to the Atomic Energy Control Board, a 5-member board that directed an agency of 285 employees “charged with protecting the Canadian public against the consequences of a nuclear mishap.” One day later, she was told the invitation had been withdrawn, and the public speculated that it was due to her anti-nuclear stance, of which the government was somehow previously unaware. Records in this subseries provide significant documentation of this controversy, includin the original letter of appointment and subsequent correspondence with Pat Carney (Minister of Energy, Minutes and Resources), letters from supporters, news clippings, a petition, copies of House of Commons Debates, and background information on nuclear issues.

Audubon Wildlife Theatre was produced in partnership with the National Audubon Society of the United States and the Canadian Audubon Society. Airing on CBC from 1968 to 1974, the series of 78 half-hour episodes was produced by Gerald S. Kedey and Dan Gibson. Ralph C. Ellis was the Executive Producer. The premiere episode, Land of the Loon, won the 1967 Canadian Film Award for Best Television Film. Narrated by Bert Devitt.

Sub-series consists of five files which deal with Nouwen's personal and professional dealings with Ave Maria Press, a publishing company located in Notre Dame, Indiana. Much of the correspondence is between Nouwen or his assistants and Eugene S. Geissler, Book Editor or Frank Cunningham, Editor for Ave Maria Press. Specific Nouwen publications mentioned in the files include In Memoriam, With Open Hands, Out of Solitude, Compassion, Love in a Fearful Land, and audio cassettes A Spirituality of Waiting, Aging and Ministry, Marriage and Ministry and Spirituality and the Family.

Subseries consists of records relating to various awards given to Dr. Franklin. Records include correspondence, ceremony invitations and programs, acceptance speech notes and texts, letters of congratulations, photographs, certificates, awards and plaques.

Material such as bank books, chequebook receipts and statement updates from the Bank of Montreal was deaccessioned as it did not contain material of significant evidential or informational value.

The Banquet held September 11, 1992 at Ontario Place, was to celebrate the many volunteers of the Greater Toronto NAJC, while also acting as a fundraiser for the chapter. Guest speakers included Minister of Multiculturalism and Citizenship Gerry Weiner, Consul-general Katsuyuki Tanaka, and Premier of Ontario Bob Rae.

The sub-series includes program books for the event, raffle information, financial records, planning material, and many photographs of those who attended.

This subseries contains the published volumes of Being Sexual: An Illustrated Series on Sexuality and Relationships and “After You Tell” written by Susan E. Ludwig. Being Sexual was a 17 volume series published by the Sex Information and Education Council of Canada (SEICCAN) in 1993. The purpose of the publication was to provide clear sexuality education for young adults and adults with developmental disabilities, problems with speech, literary, learning or communication. The volumes are written in English alongside a Blissymbol translation. The Blissymbolics Communication institute provided the symbol translation for each volume.

There are 17 volumes total covering the following topics: Relationships, A Woman’s Body, A Man’s Body, Adolescence, Male Masturbation, Female Masturbation, Heterosexual Intercourse, Human Reproduction, Birth Control, Homosexuality, Sexuality and Physical Disability, Sexually Transmitted Diseases, AIDS, Sexual Self Advocacy, Sexual Abuse, Sexuality and Aging and the Being Sexual Teaching Manual. “After You Tell” is a book which describes what an individual should expect after an individual reports sexual abuse to the authorities. At the back of each volume there is a glossary of the Blissymbols used.

Series consist of records and publications relating to Dr. Franklin’s trip to Berlin as an observer at the World Peace Congress. This was her first trip back to Berlin after her departure in the late 1940s. Series includes a typed article (address to friends), detailing her thoughts on the visit, a notebook, the Assembly program, and books, booklets and brochures collected while in Berlin. Subseries also includes 2 commercial slide collections (produced in 1965): one of Berlin and one of Potsdam.
