Scrapbook compiled by Milton Blankstein

File consists of a scrapbook compiled by the Milton Blankstein (later, Blackstone), consisting of newspaper clippings of reviews and press notices, photographs, and programs relating to his career in New York City, Toronto, and other Canadian cities. The scrapbook includes a signed photograph of Eugène Ysaÿe and and Boris Hambourg (dated in Toronto, 1918).

File contains autographed letters, signed (ALS) from Deems Taylor (February 17, 1927), Gordon V. Thompson (May 4, 1927), and Edna St. Vincent Millay (October 6, 1927); letters to Earle Poling (1923-1937); texts of lectures (1925-1952); and, press releases and magazine articles (1928-1960).

Letters

Subseries includes correspondence both written and sent to Kathleen Parlow from 1868-1967. Subseries also includes envelopes and a few newspaper clippings, perhaps included in the letters. Notable writers include Leopold Auer who was Kathleen Parlow's teacher.
