Contains materials generated and collected in the course of business by the Toronto Anti-Draft Programme (TADP), 1964-1977. Includes individual case files, intake and housing records, sales records for the Manual for Draft-Age Immigrants to Canada, counseling materials, lobbying and public relations files, materials from other activist, religious and anti-war groups, TADP administrative records, and a collection of printed items.

Fonds consists of programs, speaking notes, correspondence, and newspaper clippings relating the Opera Exchange, an initiative co-organized by University of Toronto professors Caryl Clark and Linda Hutcheon, in conjunction with the Munk Centre for International studies (2001-2002) and the Canadian Opera Company (COC) (2003-2015).

The Opera Exchange held three symposia per year, with the aim to create a collaborative environment where students, faculty, and members of the public could discuss opera from various perspectives and disciplines, including musicology, literature, drama, history, political science, and gender studies. The program was initially named "The Humanities Initiative" and early symposia focused on works performed by the University of Toronto Opera School, Opera Atelier, and the COC.

Fonds consists of newsletters and ephemera produced by the Toronto Wagner Society.

Collection consists of incoming and outgoing correspondence with Dr. Ates Tanin about recordings of pianists Sviatoslav Richter (1915-1997) and Emil Gilels (1916-1985). Tanin was a collector of piano recordings, with a focus on Richter and Gilels, and maintained a website discography of all known recordings of Richter, "Recorded Richter." Tanin also collaborated with Doremi (Willowdale, Ontario) to commercially release several recordings of Richter's live performances.

Collection includes incoming and outgoing correspondence with John Berrie and Falk Schwartz, administrators of the Friends of Sviatoslav Richter, and Dejan Sinadinovic, a member of the Friends of Sviatoslav Richter.

Fonds consists of programs from his performances, a letter confirming his appointment to the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) in Toronto, a newspaper clipping, and his annotated copy of the Canadian Music Centre sheet music for Six Miniatures after Hokusai for violin and piano by Elliot Weisgarber (1972). The fonds also includes two catalogues for his personal music library: one current to 1976, and another current to 1997.

Collection predominantly consists of programs that Carl Morey collected from attending performances and for research purposes. Some programs include program notes written by Morey (e.g., Canadian Opera Company programs, among others), ticket stubs, newspaper clippings of reviews of the performances, and/or autographs from the performers.

Collection consists of recordings and programs of performances by by faculty members, students, student ensembles, and guest artists, at one of the Faculty of Music theatres (Walter Hall and MacMillan Theatre), and at other University venues.

Collection consists of late-eighteenth, nineteenth, and early-twentieth century flutes, predominantly made by various builders and companies in London, England, as well as two from Paris, one from France, and one from Bayreuth, Germany. The collection covers the mechanization and modernization of the flute, including the addition of holes and keys, and the move from wood to metal for the body of the flute.

Fonds consists of records created, accumulated, and used by Doug Riley between the years 1966-2007. The majority of the records in this fonds is sheet music resulting from collaborations with other musicians, arrangements by Doug Riley, or original compositions. Although the fonds consists largely of jazz music, there is a wide variety of genres including classical music represented. Audio recordings could prove useful in the understanding of Doug Riley's performances or musical techniques.

Throughout his career Doug Riley collaborated in a variety of projects including composing music for theatre, television, awards shows, and social events. The fonds includes evidence of these projects including scripts, itineraries, storyboards, etc.

Also included in the fonds is correspondence between Doug Riley and other prominent figures in the music industry. Many set lists included in the fonds could provide insights into the performances of Doug Riley.

Fonds consists of material relating to the meetings of Conservatory Chamber Music Club. Includes one minute book 1937-1941, including descriptions of programs and list of members.

This fonds consists of a mix of documents and records pertaining to Easterbrook’s various professional roles, including those of teacher, researcher, and administrator. Of the three accessions that make up the fonds, B1975-0030 consists of correspondence with Harold Innis as well as assorted notes, including those taken from discussions with Innis during his final months; B1979-0039 consists of correspondence, memoranda, reports, notes, and manuscripts documenting Easterbrook’s roles as professor and head of the Department of Political Economy; while B1985-0011 consists of textual and graphic records documenting Easterbrook’s teaching activities and term as Chairman of the Department of Political Economy. There is thus considerable overlap between the aforementioned accessions. The organization of the fonds into series consequently reflects this overlap such that several accessions often appear in a single series.

Fonds consists of recordings of performances and related ephemera, including programs and posters, from events at Gallery 345 in Toronto, from its opening in 2005 to its closure in 2019.

Consists of 6 accessions which include correspondence, notes, notebooks, sketchbooks, sketches, designs for stage sets, costume designs, photoprints and photonegatives, scrapbooks documenting the artistic lives of Frederick Coates and his wife, Louise Brown. The photographs include images of Frederick's family, his military service in World War I, dance, and his work in the reconstruction of the faces of maimed soldiers, his studio and their house, and models of buildings. Also includes Guest Book for "Sherwood House", with invitations to dramatic productions held therein; three letters between members of the Hoitt family (1867, 1885). Also included are water colours of costume designs, 5 Art Deco works of art, consisting of Coates' three stage sets for 'Danse Fronds' (ca. 1929), 'Fashions' (ca. 1928), and 'The Storm Centre' (1927); a theatre design featuring a clown; and a still life entitled 'The Blue Plate' (1922). Artifacts include medals, printing blocks, pottery, 20 modelling tools and a sculpture documenting their careers and artistic work.

Records document Mr. Pieters' activities as a student and alumnus of New College at the University of Toronto. Pieters was an active participant in the development of Caribbean students' activities, including the West Indian Students' Association. As a student teacher at the Faculty of Education, he was active in the Future Teachers Club and other initiatives that worked to encourage post-secondary studies in teaching to African Canadian students. Material includes correspondence, brochures, flyers, clippings, photographs, reports, and notes.

Training Guides written by 4th year students of the School of Physical and Health Education submitted in partial fulfillment of their degree. Topics cover a wide variety of sports and physical activities. They are original typescripts and some include original photographs.

Personal records of Professor Peter W. Nesselroth, documenting his career as a professor of French literature for the Centre of Comparative Literature at the University of Toronto and his published academic work on subjects covering French literature, Isidore Ducasse, Surrealism, literary theory, semiotics and psychoanalytics. The emphasis is on his academic writing from the 1970s through to the 2010s, with Isidore Ducasse (Lautréamont) and Jacques Derrida figuring prominently as subjects. Academic honours and teaching material for graduate courses at the University of Toronto and professional correspondence are also included.

Included are Professor Nesselroth’s MA and PhD theses, correspondence, course readings lists and syllabi, drafts and off-prints of academic articles, drafts of addresses, conference programs and photographs.

Digital files about John Colman, Dean of Scarborough College (1968-1972) compiled by Eleanor Irwin, for his memorial held on 18 March 2011. Includes digitized newspaper clippings, memorial program, and tributes to Colman.

Fonds primarily consists of Carland’s correspondence with A. P. Thorton and C. P. Stacey, two prominent history professors with whom Carland studied as a doctoral student at the University of Toronto. Records also include news clippings and correspondence with historian Norman Hillmer related to C. P. Stacey.

Fonds consist of records related to Hart House Theatre's production of Ondine in November and December of 1966. Records were collected by Macdougall, who played "Second Lord" in the production as a first-year student at Victoria College. Records include a production programme autographed by the cast and Director William Hutt, clippings of reviews, and a copy of the Ondine script used and annotated by cast members.

Fonds consists of correspondence between Margery Fee; J. M. MacGillivray; H. Pearson Gundy; Northrop Frye; Sandra Djwa; and Fee's thesis advisor, Clause Bissell. The correspondence relates to Canadian literature and Margery Fee's thesis.

Fonds consists of one handwritten and one transcribed version of Rev. Dr. George Bruce's account of the Fenian Raids a University College from when he was a student. The text covers his perceptions of the Fenian Brotherhood and Irish republicanism, trepidations with exams and the funeral of an acquaintance who was killed at Ridgeway.

Three diplomas belonging to Annie Sadie McKenzie who was an early woman graduate of the Faculty of Dentistry. Included are: 1922 Dominion Dental Council; 1922 Doctors in Chirurgia dentali; 1922 licentiate of dental surgery

Records in this fonds consist mainly of film and video documenting many of the projects developed within the DPG by Prof. Ron Baecker as well as with colleagues and graduate students. Included are film reels collected and exhibited for the 20th anniversary and incorporated into the video Dynamic Image. These document very early projects such as Baecker’s Genesys: Computer Animation System (MIT, 1969), Leslie Mezei’s Art of Computers (1971), George Olshevski‘s Regular 4D Polytopes (ca. 1971). A poster from this event is also included. Videos demonstrate many of the technologically advance graphic works done by the DPG lab under Baecker’s directorship including, to list a few, CaveCat, Telepresence Ontario, MAD (Movie Authoring Design) and Apple Design Competition 1993 (Globall).

There is also one box of textual records documenting to limited degree other areas of Baecker’s career including TAGlab, Knowledge Media Design Institute and NECTAR – network for Effective Collaboration Technologies through Advanced Research. There is also a series of portraits done of Baecker in 1987 as well as an album documenting the work of the Telepresence Ontario Project.

Included in this small fonds is biographical data, citations, passports, clippings and other memorabilia. Also included are two notebooks compiled by Alice Lindsay. These are interleaved with correspondence and notes on the Chinese way of life. One note book is mainly Chinese sayings.

This accession also includes a two part photo album/scrapbook of the Lindsay’s trip through South East Asia and Europe to Canada in 1927. There are also photographs documenting their family, friends and colleagues.

Finally this accession includes an embroidered and weaved Chinese wall hanging as well as two sets of dinner place card holders showing Chinese life scenes. One set is made of Chinese paper cut work and a second set are pop up cards.

World War II memoribilia preserved from a WWII scrapbook that most likely belonged to Duncan Graham of the Faculty of Medicine and that documented mainly the 15th Canadian General Hospital. Included are a few Christmas cards, photographs, typed memos, postage labels and the May 1941 Ontario Medical Association Bulletin.
This accession includes a group portrait of the 15th Canandian General Hospital taken in Toronto in Janauary 1940 with identification of many in the portait. There is also two small photos of officers and the ambulance corp at Niagara Camp, 1940.

Photographs, diplomas and artifacts document the student life of U.C. graduate Lidia Lagodich who received her B.A. in 1950 and went on to get a Bachelor of Library Science in 1951. Included are snapshots of Lidia with her friends on campus and at convocation as well as a photo album.
There are also photographs of engineering graduate Shams-Ul Huda, a foreign student from India with whom Lagodich was friends. Some of the snapshots were sent to Lidia from Shams-Ul. Their friendship is also documented in correspondence that Shams-Ul sent to Lidia over several decades.
Formal group portraits include University College Graduating Class 1950, Falconer House 1948-49, and Mulock House, Whitney Hall, 1946, Cody House, Whitney Hall 1949-50, Grad House 146 St. George, 1947-48 and 1950-51.

Photographs and memorabilia documenting Julia Sim Hillock (B.A. 1892) and Janie Sanderson Hillock (B.A. 1895) including: University College, Officers of Class of 1892 ; 1892, 1893 and 1894-95 U.C. Women’s Literary Society; Julia Hillock 1892 Diploma.
Photographs and memorabilia documenting William Lockwood Addison (M.B. 1895, M.D.1898) including: Officers of the class of 1895 and 2 unidentified group portraits and a unique Toronto General Hospital Midwifery Program certificate 1895.

Correspondence, notices of lectures, letters of reference, memorabilia, committee files and photographs document the career of Professor Sherwin Desser, a parasitologist in the Department of Zoology and Chairman of that department from 1990-1999. Desser also served as Chair of the Hart House Art Committee and there is one file documenting this role. Finally, there is also two painted portraits by Prof. Desser, one self-portrait and one of Kenneth C. Fisher.

A small notebook which contains a course syllabus and handwritten lecture notes for a course on obstetrics from 1914-1914. The item belonged to Archie B. McCallum who attended the University of Toronto's Faculty of Medicine.

This accession of records from Dr. Kenneth W. Allen covers a brief period in his career when he was working in the Physics Division of Atomic Energy of Canada in Chalk River, as a Lecturer at Liverpool University, England, and as a researcher for the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority at Aldermaston, England. The accession contains lab notes, diagrams, and correspondence with administration at Chalk River and various atomic organizations.

Song Sheets distributed at the Varsity vs McGill football games on October 23, 1920, October, 1927 and December, 1930.

Material includes issues of the PECU (Political Economy Course Union) Review, pamphlets for multiple SAC leadership slates, correspondence between SAC’s Anti-Racism Committee and the Ontario Human Rights Commission, and a statement from the University of Toronto Status of Women Committee on offensive content of the Toike Oike.

22 photographs document Ontario College of Pharmacy student Marjorie Wright, later Marjorie Downs. Included is her graduation portrait (1938), a photo album of snapshots showing her graduation, residence, working in a lab as well as King George IV and Queen Elizabeth's visit to Toronto in 1939. Also documenting her student days is a composite portrait of the Senior Executive Class of 1938, Ontario College of Pharmacy of which Marjorie Wright was a member. Finally, there is one portrait of Mrs. Downs later in life as well as an award marking the 50th anniversary of her graduation from the Ontario College of Pharmacy.

Fonds consists of records belonging to Cecil A. Wright, law professor and Dean of the Faculty of Law. Includes: correspondence with eminent individuals, politicians,and prime ministers ; notes taken while a student at Harvard Law school; speeches and addresses; reprints of articles; drafts of case studies; labour arbitration cases; and administrative files while he was with Osgoode Hall and the Faculty of Law.

Illuminated addresses on retirement of Dr. Adam H. Wright as Dean of Obstetrics, University of Toronto (1912-1913) and memorial address of Council of Faculty of Medicine on his death in 1930. Includes offprint of Banquet address from "The Canadian Practition and Review" (1913). One photograph by Ashley and Crippen of the portrait of Dr. Adam Wright (n.d.).

Correspondence, manuscripts, lecture notes, notes, minutes, addresses, diaries, certificates, scrapbooks, photographs and maps documenting the career of Professor J. Tuzo Wilson as geophysicist and administrator. Included are files that belonged to his parents, Henrietta Loetitia Tuzo Wilson and John Armistead Wilson.

Contains one photograph of an ice hockey team in which H. H. Wilkinson played in 1905 (see top left hand). It also contains one pastel coloured photograph of H. H. Wilkinson and his wife, presumably taken in 1900s or 1910s.

Fifty-five glass lantern slides document helium experiments that took place in Department of Physics in the 1920s. They originally belonged to Prof. Joseph O. Wilhelm, lecturer and co-author with J.C. McLennan of various articles. The slides were used to illustrate these articles and may also have been used for teaching. Includes original spectrographic data for the Raman Effect, views of scientific laboratory equipment, mostly likely the helium laboratory, as well as line drawings of the Helium Liquefier and the Oxygen Apparatus.
