John Beckwith : [photographs]

File consists of promotional photographs of John Beckwith, taken at various points in his career. File includes photographs of Beckwith hiking on the Franz Joseph glacier, and of the Music Building at the University of Auckland, which he visited during his sabbatical [1977-1978].

Oskar Morawetz : [photographs]

Gary Relyea : [photographs]

File includes a photograph of Gary Relyea with Maestro Franz-Paul Deceker from a rehearsal with the Toronto Symphony for performances of Mahler's Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen (December 7, 8, 10, [1983]).

Scott St. John : [photographs]

File includes a photograph of violinist Scott St. John speaking from the stage during the March 28, 2003 concert, which included the announcement of a donation from Alice and Grant Burton to support chamber groups in residence at the Faculty.

Amici Chamber Ensemble : [photographs]

File consists of two promotional photographs of Amici with their instruments: Patricia Parr, piano; Joaquin Valdepeñas, clarinet; and David Hetherington, cello. The Amici chamber ensemble was formed in 1985, and they became the trio-in-residence at the University of Toronto Faculty of Music in 1989.

Canadian Brass : [photograph]

Item is a promotional photograph of the Canadian Brass quintet: Ronald Romm and Frederic Mills, trumpets; David Ohanian, French horn; Eugen Watts, trombone; and Charles Daellenbach, tuba. The Canadian Brass Quintet was an ensemble-in-residence at the University of Toronto Faculty of Music from 1998 to 2003.

Elmer Iseler Singers : [photograph]

Item is a promotional photograph of the Elmer Iseler Singers with Dr. Elmer Iseler. The 20-voice chamber choir was founded by Iseler in 1979 and were artists-in-residence at the University of Toronto Faculty of Music from 1994-1995.

St. Lawrence String Quartet : [photographs]

File consists of promotional photographs of the St. Lawrence String Quartet, with Geoff Nuttall, Barry Shiffman, violin; Lesley Robertson, viola; and Marina Hoover, cello. The Quartet was founded in 1989, and they received coaching at the University of Toronto Faculty of Music from Lorand Fenyves. They have been quartet-in-residence at the Faculty of Music since 1995.

Photographs of students

Subseries consists of promotional photographs of select students at the University of Toronto Faculty of Music, which were collected and used by the Faculty's promotions office. Most of the photographs are of students in the Opera School or students who were featured in the Faculty's newsletter for winning an award or competition.
