Series consists of the integrated files of all Daybreak directors/community leaders. The files document management activities at Daybreak, including Board reporting, strategic planning, supervision of programs, fundraising, liaison with government agencies and community organizations, and participation in the activities of L'Arche regionally, nationally, and internationally. The files contain significant reporting on the changing mandates and goals of Daybreak as represented by on-going discussion of community vision; community, administrative and leadership organization, and program initiatives.
The types of records include: incoming and outgoing correspondence; internal routine and special research reports; external consultants’ reports; minutes and notes of management meetings; communications from government agencies, community social service providers, and other L'Arche communities; legal documents; internal publications; articles and news clippings; policy and procedures manuals.
Subjects found in the series include: administration and program review and re-structuring; personnel and compensation policies; the training, organization and work of Daybreak assistants; planning for an aging Core Member population; community special events; operations of Daybreak Farm, The Woodery, and other community work programs, and Dayspring II.
