General subject/correspondence files

Sub-series consists of files relating to a variety of subjects/correspondents such as studies/surveys, scholarships/awards, installations (Principal's), grants/funding, lectures, senior administrators, Victoria University committees and reunion dinners as well as subject files on academic courses, enrollment programming and departments.

Records relating to staff and human resources

Series consists of correspondence, personnel position descriptions, salaried job positions and other records relating to salaries, insurance schemes and pensions of all the staff at the University, 1940-1990; personnel files, including pension material, 1932, 1955-2005; and salaried position descriptions, reviews and related correspondence and other records, 1989-2008.

Also contains one sub-series with records related to Health and Safety

Research notes and article drafts

Series consists of research notes, bibliographical notes, notes and rough drafts, typescripts, etc. of articles that Joan Bigwood later published. Also includes several offprints from journals of her articles. Series also consists of a selection of index cards with bibliographical notes.

Fonds consists primarily of records related to the continuing education programming offered by Emmanuel College. Included are workshop and course descriptions, calendars and agreements as well as program evaluations and planning documents. Fonds also includes the records of the Emmanuel College Continuing Education Committee which is responsible for the overall planning of the programming offered. Fonds contains the minutes of the meetings and reports from the Continuing Education Coordinator. The fonds contains three series.

Record types include CVs, correspondence re promotions and appointments, letters of recommendation, search committee minutes, and staff interviews. Faculty files contain CVs and often course outlines, correspondence, writing and articles, memorials, resolutions, obituaries and photographs, published articles, lecture papers and course evaluations. Also includes files related to visiting fellows and lecturers.

Fonds consists of correspondence/subject files and general files that are primarily related to faculty, other academic staff and courses. Also consists of records related to the Victoria College Council and its committees as well as U of T committees upon which the Principal sat. There are gaps in the records for the brief periods when the Principal's Office was served by the incumbent President: 1928-1932, 1941-1944, and 1966-1967. Fonds consists of the records of Larry Davies, the Director of the External Relations and Development Department, primarily outgoing correspondence as well as records documenting the relationship between the Department, alumni, and alumni groups such as the Alumni of Victoria College (AVC) and the Emmanuel College Alumni/ae Association. Records also document fundraising and development activities as well as the planning and hosting of events such as reunions and milestone celebrations.

Fonds contains lists of Permanent Class Executives of Victoria College, guest book and transcripts of addresses given at the Memorial Service held for Victoria University President A.B.B.
