B1998-0009: Correspondence and memorabilia belonging to H.A. Clark (B.A. 1895) including a letter he wrote to the editor of the Toronto Telegram discussing the role of W.L.M. King in the student strike of 1895. There is also correspondence relating to a fund raising drive by the Class of 1895 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Class. Memorabilia includes programs for various dinners including the University Centenary Dinner in 1927.

The collection contains files from the Ontario Association of Architects and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. It also contains blueprints from Noulan Cauchon, a noted railway engineer and city planner.

The collection consists of research materials for Irving's book The Social Credit Movement in Alberta, as well as correspondence, both personal and professional. Correspondents include William Aberhart and Ernest Manning. It also continues drafts and typescripts of his numerous articles, lecture notes and other teaching materials, and items relating to the television program Fighting Words.

This collection consists of the minutes of the Literary Club, as well as correspondence of various members with Mrs. Norma Lyne, brief biographies of the members, and a portion of the untitled reminiscences of Henry H. Noyes.

The Dalley Papers relate to the family estate in Wiltshire, England, to the military career of Captain William Dalley, and to the Hamilton business of Frederick Dalley and Fenner Frederick Dalley.

The DeLury collection contains correspondence with Anglo-Irish writers, with friends and with book dealers. It also contains card files and notebooks relating to his collection of Ango-Irish literature and a few diaries from the 1920s.

Nelson and MacConnell concerning an official enquiry into the state and management of affairs at the Quebec Marine and Emigrant Hospital, and correspondence from J. Leslie, provincial secretary, related to same.

This collection is largely comprised of correspondence concerned with printing, but letters are also of a personal nature. Correspondents include: Edward Lee Stone, Melbert B. Cary, Jr., E.W. Johnson, Carl Dair, Mary Ethel Somerville, along with carbon copies of a letter from Duff to Edward Lee Stowe, and two letters to Carl Dair. There is also one letter to Blake from William Colgate sending him a copy of Horace Walpole on Milton, along with a typed copy of Duff's reply. The collection also includes a visitors' book at Cooneen Cross, proofs of Duff's The Printer of the Jesuit Relations and a a carbon copy of Duff's Ben Franklin and the First Printing in Montreal.

Collection consists of correspondence and business material related to the Fleming Family of Ontario. There is special emphasis on material about Niagara Falls, Owen Sound, Ontario local history and Northern Business College. Much of the material is related to Christopher Alexander Fleming, a life-long teacher and author of several textbooks on penmanship, mensuration, bookkeeping and business practices.

The collection consists of letters from Thoreau MacDonald to Schaefer, as well as a large collection of Christmas and occassional cards, several of which are originals, original lino-cuts, printer's proofs of lino-cuts and pen drawings, and other printed material and clippings. The letters describe their work and contain running commentary on the art scene of the period.

The collection consists of research materials for Schneid's unpublished book on 20th century Jewish artists in Europe, manuscripts for his published and unpublished works, and galleys for his published writings. The research materials include correspondence with more than 120 Jewish artists, copies of their exhibition catalogues, and other published works, and photographs of their art. Most of these artists perished during the Second World War.

Correspondence, manuscript notes and 2 photographs belonging to David M. Turnbull (1906-1995), former Vice-president, Health Sciences , and Executive Assistant to the Dean of Faculty of Medicine, John Hamilton, during the time of the construction of the Medical Sciences building. Includes one group photo presumed to be of audience watching ceremony re Medical Sciences Building and group photo of D.I Turnbull with Mr. and Mrs. R.R. McLaughlin (1967). Also includes a typescript "History of Woods, Gordon & Co."

Photographs, diplomas and some sparse correspondence document Harold Caples's education in the Faculty of Medicine (M.D. 1924) as well as his career as an obstetrician and gynecologist. He is reported to have been the 3rd Canadian to have attained this specialist recognition by being admitted as a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. The photographs relate mainly to the University of Toronto and include the graduating class for Medicine in 1924, the University of Toronto senior basketball team in 1923-24 as well as a composite of the Nu Sigma Nu fraternity for 1923-24. The correspondence relates to his medical training both at the University of Toronto and in the United Kingdom, as well as his early work in radiology and the use of radium. There are also military documents relating to his service both in World War I and World War II.

The records relate to Isaac Albert Rumble, who graduated from Victoria College in 1902 and taught business in Toronto. The records consist of three items: an unidentified class photograph from 1900; a photograph of the graduating class in Arts from 1902; and a certificate of chartered accounting from 1913.

Copy of "Erindale College Library, the Early Years", a history of the Library submitted by Mrs. June Seel for the Histories of Libraries course at the Faculty of Library Science. Appendices contain original photographs and examples of publications of Erindale College Library.

The collection consists of photos, manuscript notes and ephemera relating to Gilbert and Sullivan, and especially to the D'Oyley Carte Company across Canada in 1927. There is also some biographical material relating to J.A. McNeil.

The collection contains two versions of de Marbois' autobiography "The Adventures of Little Joe Buggins" and six letters relating to his naval career in the Second World War.

B2014-0014 has been described at the file leve, and includes correspondence, meeting minutes, membership lists, surveys and questionnaires, publications, reports, and other organizational records of the Library Association of the University of Toronto(LAUT). LAUT’s primary activities centred around topics such as employment and working conditions, salary matters, strikes, the status of women, the stack access debate, and the academic status of librarians as faculty members.

LAUT interacted with The University of Toronto Faculty Association (UTFA), the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), the University of Toronto Staff Association (UTSA), the Canadian Association of University Teachers (CAUT), and the Canadian Association of College and University Librarians (CACUL) over the course of its activities.

Correspondence of Florence Neelands with family members, including her brother, Ernest Victor, friends and fellow students while a student in modern languages at the University of Toronto. Topics include the 1894 production of 'Antigone' and the 1895 student strike. Also included are photographs, mostly of family members and friends (some identified) but also including images of tribesmen, possibly in Papua-New Guinea.

Correspondence with and about Michael Polanyi including papers regarding the Polanyi Papers Project (1973-1975), the Polanyi Society (1972-1985), obituaries. Includes files on such people as Doug Adams, Richard L. Gelwick, Jerry H. Gill, Maxine Greene, Robert E. Innis, and others. Photoprints of opening of Fisher Rare Book Library.

Volume entitled "Research on Rheumatism" and related glass plate negatives document research done by Dr. F.J. Poynton of University College Hospital London. Correspondence, clippings and a citation document the gift of this material to the Faculty of Medicine. The research was undertaken by Poynton with Dr. Alexander Pain from 1897-1913.

Course and laboratory notes taken by Daniel G. Revell while a student in Arts (1892-1894) Medicine (1898-1900), and as a Fellow in Anatomy at the University of Toronto. Also included are notes taken at this time and later when he was an instructor (1901-1907) at the University of Chicago.
