Applications, correspondence and reports relating to the Advisory Committee on Research in the Humanities and Social Sciences (ca. 1945-1966); the Advisory Committee on Scientific Research (ca. 1945-1965); health research grants such as Mental Health, Ontario Heart Foundation and Ontario Cancer Treatment (ca. 1959-1963); the National Research Council grants (ca. 1954-1964); and other American and Canadian funding bodies (ca. 1959-1968).

This ad hoc system was eventually replaced by several standing Research Ethics Boards in 1998. The records document the Undergraduate Program in Women's Studies, the Graduate Collaborative Program in Women's Studies, and the Institute for Women's and Gender Studies. There are also some records from the Women Studies Student Union (W.S.S.U.) . Records include Curriculum Committee, Program Committee, Core Committee, and Executive Committee agenda and minutes. There are also reports as well as internal program review, special events, and project files. The records also consist of posters, videos, and audio tapes documenting various IWSGS events, conferences, lectures, and workshops.

Negative, slides and photographs documenting activities of the staff of the Great Lakes Institute specifically aboard the research vessel "Porte Dauphine", as well as research conducted on the Toronto waterfront and at Baie du Dore. Graphic records are accompanied by item indexes. Most photographs were taken by chief technician, Manivalde Aesma.

1 photo album of carved wood containing b/w and colour photographs of the University of Toronto Ukranian Studies exhibition of the life and work of Andrei Sheptyts'kyi. The exibition took place November 22-24, 1984 at Robart's Library. It documented the work of Andrei Sheptyts-kyi, spiritual leader of the Ukranian Caltholics (b. 1865-d. 1944) who fought to save Jews during WWII.
