Letter includes a copy of Mehlman's letter from March 11, 1996 to the editor of Worship magazine, asking to reprint "Spiritual Direction" in Pneuma, and for permission to publish the article on the website. Letter includes a copy of the response to Mehlman from (Rev.) R. Kevin Seasoltz, O.S.B., General Editor, on behalf of Worship, granting Mehlman permission to reproduce Nouwen's article in print, but not on the internet, as Mehlman would need permission from Nouwen.

File consists of one letter to Jean Vanier from Rick Tobias, Past Chair, on behalf of the Street Level Steering Committee, the organizers of the Street Level National Conference for Street Workers. Tobias is inviting Vanier to be the devotional speaker at the Street Level Conference in 1996. Tobias discusses how Henri Nouwen and Sr. Sue Mosteller were the devotional leaders at the 1994 Street Level Conference. Nouwen received this letter as a carbon copy.
