The first series, Film Materials, includes release prints of films in colour. They come in one of two formats: 35mm and 16mm. The films themselves range from Egoyan’s feature length films to his short films which were made earlier in his career.

The second series, Print Materials, includes posters for Egoyan’s films, press releases, programs, press clippings, audition signs, complete magazines, newspaper articles, an award, and newspaper reviews written by Egoyan.

This fonds is largely devoted to the minutes of the semi-annual and annual meetings of the St Hilda’s College Alumnae Association (SHCAA) and the finances of the association as well as minutes of its executive committee meetings. The reports in the minutes include details of the various social activities of the SHCAA and its relationships with other organizations (eg, Canadian Federation of University Women, Local Council of Women and several charitable groups). Finally the fonds has an eclectic mix of material relating to various activities of the SHCAA and to some graduates of the College.

Much of the early material suffered considerable water damage at some point in the past: some had to be discarded and other material was photocopied and then discarded. In consequence there are gaps in the early activities of the association. Later material arrived intermittently and there are no minutes for the years 1986/7-1995/6.

Frederick and Joan Winter Family fonds

Fonds consists of material documenting the careers of both Prof. Frederick Winter and Joan Winter, particularly related to their archaeological research. Material in the fonds represents both of their individual work and education, as well as research conducted and presentations given together. The records of Prof. Frederick Winter’s cover his publishing activity, research across Europe, particularly within Greece, teaching, and some aspects of his doctoral work.

Joan Winter’s records make up a larger portion of the fonds’ material with considerable documentation of her undergraduate education at the University of Alberta as well as her time at the University of Toronto. Records also include Joan Winter’s teaching material as well as the tutorials she led for some of Prof. Winter’s courses.

The Winters’ joint research is documented through travel diaries, articles, research, and presentation notes. Some of the presentations are accompanied by photographs and the fonds includes additional graphic material related to their research.

Correspondents include, among others, F.A.C. Records document Elisabeth Marani’s contribution to the production of “Miss Julie” by the U.C. Players Guild in October 1954 and “Brigadoon” by University College and St. Michael’s College in 1955. Records relating to “Miss Julie” include original costume sketches, preliminary designs for sets and props as well as a one page recollection written by Elisabeth Bacque (nee Marani). Records relating to “Brigadoon” include researched sketches for costumes, a program and clippings. Finally this donation also includes sketched designs for a U.C. Follies production.

B1997-0024: These records document the activities of Brian Land as an undergraduate at the University of Toronto and as a librarian; as executive assistant (1963-1964) to Walter Gordon when, as Minister of Finance, he presented his first budget in the House of Commons in 1963; as a member of the executive of the Davenport-Dovercourt Liberal Association (Gordon’s constituency), and as advisor to and partial author of Gordon’s incomplete memoir, Pursuit of an ideal – Canadian independence. They also cover his involvement in the 1962 federal election (the subject of his MA thesis) that was published in 1965 as Eglinton: the election study of a federal constituency. B2008-0015: This accession documents Prof. Land’s professional activities with the Canadian Library Association, the Ontario Library Association and the Institute of Professional Librarians prior to his appointment as Director of the School of Library Science in 1964.
