File contains programs for performances of Bach's St. Matthew's Passion at Convocation Hall at the University of Toronto. The concerts were prepared under the joint direction of Ernest MacMillan (conductor) and Richard Tatersall. The choirs were made up of members from the choirs of the Timothy Eaton Memorial Church, Old St. Andrew's Church, Upper Canada College, Holy Trinity Church, Bloor Street United Church, the Conservatory Choir, and the Mendelssohn Choir. The Music Committee of Hart House and Hart House Theatre were also involved in the productions.

The performance was Marilyn Horne's "first local appearance since singing Amneris with the Canadian Opera Company...in 1964."
