The material that Brian Land gathered during the 1962 federal election formed the basis for his MA thesis that was written under the supervision of Paul Fox. The first part of this series comprises correspondence about the thesis and a copy of its second volume, “Appendices”, that contains charts, campaign literature, buttons, and maps (some oversized), and notes for the bibliography.

The second part of this series contains the files relating to the publication, in 1965, of Land’s thesis as Eglinton: the election study of a federal constituency. Included are the author’s contract, a typescript of the text, notes for and drafts of the index, and the galley and page proofs.

Series C: Photographic Prints contains all of photograph prints that were housed in paper folders and filing cabinets in the office of Ken Jones. The folders were arranged by subject. For the most part, folders are labelled by subject but the folders and some photographs were out of order when the records were transferred to UTSC Library. In some cases, folders contain photos that do not reflect the subject of the original folder label.

This fonds, which documents all aspects of the start-up and ongoing activities of a popular record label and management company based in Toronto, is divided into 5 series according to format. These are: ‘Text’, ‘Audio’, 'Videotape/Cinefilm’, ‘Photographs’, and ‘Memorabilia’.

The first series, ‘Text’, includes press and publicity, management, legal documents (e.g. performance, management, publishing and recording contracts), and accounting documents (such as inventory service reports, purchase and transfer orders invoices and receipts).

The second series, ‘Audio’, consists of released and unreleased studio recordings, as well as released and unreleased live recordings (including rough mixes, alternate takes and outtakes).

The first series, ‘NOW Communications Inc.’, consists mainly of textual material relating to the production of the magazine. It is divided into 14 sections: ‘Administration’, ‘Advertising’, ‘Contracts’, ‘Awards’, ‘Circulation’, ‘Correspondence’, ‘Ephemera’, ‘Financial’, ‘Legal’, ‘Photography’, ‘Posters’, ‘Printing Subcontracts’, ‘Promotional’, ‘Publicity’, and ‘Research’. This series also includes 39 bound volumes of NOW Magazine (a complete run dating from Summer 1981 to August 2001).

The second series, ‘NOW Magazine Photo Archive’ consists of several thousand photographs related to the production of NOW Magazine (Vols. 1- 9). Accession 2008.014 is divided into 6 series according to format.
These are: Textual and Other Material, Photographic Material, Graphic Material, Audio Material, Video Material, and Artifacts.
The first series, Textual and Other Material, includes scripts related to Nelvana (scripts, business, legal records, development files,correspondence, personal diaries, notebooks and other production-related files). This series also includes 31 series bibles and over 500 books and periodicals.
The second series, Photographic Material, includes photographs related to the animation production process, as well as images of Nelvana staff at work and play.
The third series, Graphic Material, includes material from different parts of the production process (animation cells, backgrounds, and cleanups).
They include some of the best known and most valuable of such materials, including Tintin, Rupert, Babar and Dog City. This series also includes posters.

This fonds includes six series, divided by format. These are: Textual Material, Photographic Material, Audio Material, Video Material, Cinefilm/Cinex, and Artifacts.

The first series, Textual Material, is chiefly made up of scripts, storyboards, production files, research files, correspondence, meeting notes, equipment files, technical drawings, bylaws, cast/crew lists, contracts and proposals.

The second series, Photographic Material, represents all periods of Spiess’ career, from his early portraiture and fine art images to his industrial/commercial work to production stills documenting his cinematographic work. This series is divided into two subseries: PH.1239 & PH.610977 and PH.240609.

The third series, Audio Material, includes soundtrack production elements and music.

The fourth series, Video Material, includes high quality dubs of the various versions of the finished commercial productions, as well as production elements for those commercials shot on video.

The fifth series, Cinefilms/Cinex, includes finished release prints of the various commercials as well as a number of short films by Spiess.

The sixth series, Artifacts, consists of examples of the tools that Spiess used to teach his students, as well as mementos of his involvement with the CSC.

File consists of the Ronald McDonald House Charities Award of Excellence awarded to Nouwen in September 1996 and received by Carl MacMillan and others from the L'Arche Daybreak in October on behalf of Nouwen, who had died within that time, including a Ronald McDonald House Charities commemorative bottle of Coca-Cola, dated October 12, 1996.

Honourary Doctorate degree, Catholic Theological Union

File consists of the framed Honourary Doctorate diploma Henri Nouwen received from the Catholic Theological Union (Chicago IL), a framed copy of the citation honouring Nouwen, copies of the convocation program, and one black and red velvet Honourary Doctorate hood.
