Consists of research files and papers relating to 16th century royal entries in France, including photocopies of original documents, and documentation from "The Royal Tour of France by Charles IX and Catherine de Medici (1564-66)", U of T Press, 1979, and additional royal entries, court festivals and important secondary sources, both before and after the Royal Tour.

This fonds documents Professor Kenneth McNeill's research and publishing activities through professional correspondence (Series 1), drafts and typescript of articles, reviews, addresses, referee reports, research data and notes (Series 2 &3). Series 3, in particular, documents research undertaken in the Steel Room in the Department of Physics. Series 4, 5 and 6 document some of his administrative duties within the University and in particular Electron Linear Accelerator committee, and the Radiation Protection Authority. Lecture notes (Series 7) from courses taught both at the University of Glasgow (1952-1957) and at the University of Toronto (1958-1996) document his teaching responsibilities, while early course notes (Series 9) document his education at Oxford in the 1940s.

Prof. McNeill was also an active consultant outside the University, mainly for government but also for industry. Series 8 contains files relating to this consultancy work and in particular to his work on nuclear preparedness for Emergency Planning Ontario, a department within the Ontario Solicitor General’s office. Series 10 contains the collected material for a study on radon levels in Newfoundland mines that Prof. McNeill did for the Atomic Energy Board of Canada.

Records document Mr. Pieters' activities as a student and alumnus of New College at the University of Toronto. Pieters was an active participant in the development of Caribbean students' activities, including the West Indian Students' Association. As a student teacher at the Faculty of Education, he was active in the Future Teachers Club and other initiatives that worked to encourage post-secondary studies in teaching to African Canadian students. Material includes correspondence, brochures, flyers, clippings, photographs, reports, and notes.

Consists of records documenting Blanche van Ginkel's career as a professor of architecture in the Faculty/School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, mainly from 1977 to 1990.

This accession of the Blake Wrong Family Fonds consists mainly of family portraits, small photographs and one album. Included are portraits of Samuel and Rebecca Blake, Gerald, Margaret, Francis and Vershoyle Blake as well as Harold, Murray and Hume Wrong.

There is also some memorabilia belonging to various members of the Wrong and Blake families including Harold Wrong, Murray Wrong and Gerald Blake. There are items relating to Ridley College (1906, 1923), to the Kappa Alpha Society (1911-1916), as well as two booklets of poems: 1) Verses by Harold Wrong, and 2) By-Products 1911-1919 by Murray Wrong. As well, there are there two pieces of correspondence written by Gerald Blake from the front during World War I.

The Massey Family records consist primarily of official and personal documents created by Vincent Massey. They reflect his distinguished diplomatic career, including his terms as Canadian ambassador to the United States during the 1920s and as High Commissioner to London during the 1930s and 1940s, along with his lengthy affiliation with the Liberal Party of Canada. Also represented are his years as Governor-General of Canada and as the leader of the Royal Commission on National Development in the Arts, Sciences and Letters. The moral and financial support given by Vincent and Alice Massey to cultural development in Canada, both individually and through the Massey Foundation, is evident in a wealth of documents relating to the fields of education, music, drama and fine arts (including such institutions and organizations as the National Council of Education, Hart House Quartet, Hart House Theatre, the Dominion Drama Festival, and the National Art Gallery). Their support of the University of Toronto is also well documented. In addition to the records of Vincent Massey, some papers of Alice Massey and correspondence of many members of the Grant, Massey and Parkin families are present.

The bulk of the records are found in B1987-0082. There are two other related accessions:

• B1998-0008: Correspondence between Vincent Massey and Sir Henry Newbolt, including a copy of memo on the Constitutional Crisis in 1926.
• B1998-0032: Files of the Board of Syndics (G.F. McFarland, Honorary Treasurer) relating to Hart House Theatre (1929-1945), and Hart House String Quartet (1931-1942); one file on Hart House 50th anniversary (1968-1969).

This fonds mainly consists of records covering MacIntosh’s professional life from the beginning of his studies as a doctor during and just post-World War II up to and beyond his retirement in 1984. Fonds consists of numerous newspaper clippings, notices, invitations, and other memorabilia on people and events dealing with Trinity College, St Hilda's College, and the University of Toronto (covering the years 1915-77) as well as material on her friends and family, photograph albums and single photographs, and a few documents relating to H.A. Turner and Trinity Medical College (1885-88).

This accession mainly documents Prof. McIlwraith role as a teacher. Records in Series 1: Teaching, Series 2: Field Trips, and most records in Series 4: Tenure Documentation, focus on courses he taught from 1970 to 2003. His heritage work and his talks to various local historical groups are also fairly well documented in Series 3: Public Lectures and Talks, and Series 6: Heritage Associations. Except for a few typescripts and photocopies of publications and reviews found in Series 4: Tenure Documentation and one annotated typescript that makes up Series 5: Publications, Prof. McIlwraith accomplishments as a writer, reviewer and editor are absent from this accession.

Fonds consists of student notebooks, the Kipling Ritual handbook, engineering journals, Hydro reports and photographs related to Hogg's studies in Civil Engineering at the University of Toronto.

Accession B1989-0002 (7.18 metres) contains predominantly teaching materials such as lecture notes, course files and files relating to graduate students’ PhD theses. As well there are research materials, manuscripts for published and unpublished works, and a few files relating to administrative functions in the department of Geography at Erindale College and additional files on the Planning and Priorities Subcommittee.

Fonds consists of records documenting the professional and personal life of analytic philosopher and professor, Ian Hacking. Records primarily focus on the academic and publishing activity of Hacking from the early 1980s to 2010. The material reflects the broad and diverse interests of Hacking in his work, as well as his exchange with scholars in diverse fields. Records include correspondence, manuscripts and drafts of written works, reprints, lecture notes, and extensive subject files. Additionally, correspondence, press clippings, and photographs chronicle Hacking’s professional and academic achievements.

Fonds also documents aspects of Hacking’s personal and family life. These include his diaries and notebooks, birth and marriage certificates, drawings by his children, family snapshots, as well as correspondence, photographs, and copies of records from the Hacking and MacDougall families.

Most were used for teaching and lectures; some of the graphic records were used in publications. Also included in this accession are some biographical files, addresses and publications. B1993-0010: Course notes, manuscripts and articles, course and lecture notes, theses, minutes of meetings, publications, documenting the career of Dr. Aron M. Rappaport as a professor, research scientist and a specialist in diseases of the liver. (3 boxes, 1934-1992)

Correspondence, essays, theses, and photographs documenting Herbert Pottle's graduate studies in psychology at the University of Toronto under Professor E. A. Bott, with some correspondence and press coverage of Pottle's subsequent activities.

Fonds contains records of Derwyn Owen’s career as a scholar, including subject notes, lecture notes, thesis materials, manuscripts, reading lists, and class lists from Owen’s time as a fellow and lecturer at Trinity College as well as correspondence and reviews relating to his published works. B1985-0004: Consists of subject files on University departments and divisions, University College programmes, committees, associations, task forces, as well as other universities (including Canadian and foreign). Most of the files deal with issues surrounding the French Department, undergraduate and graduate French courses, including records on course outlines, examinations, and bibliographies (17 boxes, 1938-1985).

B1993-0014: Correspondence, minutes, announcements, invitations, memoranda and reports assembled by Professor Hayne while carrying out administrative and teaching duties at University College and the Department of French, University of Toronto (1 box, 1985-1992)

B2009-0013: This accession consists of correspondence and subject files on individuals who were colleagues of Prof. Hayne during his 40 years in the Department of French at the University of Toronto. It complements other accessions within this fonds (see list below) since many of the letters relate to the discipline of French language and literature in particular and University College and the University of Toronto in general. Correspondents include, among others, F.A.C. Jeanneret, his former teacher as an undergraduate and other colleagues at University College in the Department of French such as, Paul Perron (Chair, Department of French), C.D. Rouillard, Douglas V. le Pan, among others, and Victoria College such as Northrup Frye and David Smith. (1 box 1956-2008).

Fonds consists of pencil drawings executed by Ellen Simon as designs for the stained glass windows on the east wall of Strachan Hall, Trinity College. At the time she was working for the Yvonne Williams Studio, and the work was commissioned by Gerald Larkin. Three of the windows were completed. The fonds also includes a statement written by Ellen Simon in 1999 regarding the commission, design and execution of the windows.

Also includes an annotated map of the route taken by John Galbraith from Rupert's House to Lake Mistassini, July - August, 1881; and ca. 250 glass plate negatives and lantern slides depicting the investigation headed by Galbraith into the 1907 Quebec Bridge disaster.

Henry John Cody records document his activities with external organizations including his role on the Royal on University Finances. Also includes sermons, clippings, photographs, pamphlets, programmes, diplomas, certificates for honors, etc. Other records document Barbara Blackstock Cody and her activities mainly relating to architectural conservancy and the Ontario Medal for Good Citizenship (1977). Photographs document Henry John Cody's activities at the University of Toronto and other organizations.

Personal records of George Zarb, Professor Emeritus of and former head of Prosthodontics in the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto, who introduced dental implantology to North America and who is recognized internationally for his contributions to his field. The records include personal and professional correspondence; files on many of the numerous honours bestowed on him; administrative files; teaching files, course material and lecture notes with accompanying slides, along with slide presentations from student projects and theses; files of correspondence and related material pertaining to professional activities, including selected conferences and editorial work; and drafts of chapters of books, articles, and addresses, with accompanying photographs and slides, and some born-digital material.

Records documenting the activites of Milton Brown as professor in the Department of Hygiene and Preventive Medicine and head (1956-1967) of the Department of Public Health. There are extensive files on administrative matters and courses; on courses given at the Canadian Civil Defence College; on research relating to tuberculosis, other communicable diseases, and the development of vaccines; and on committees, especially those that Brown chaired, such as the Panel on Infection and Immunity of the Defence Research Board and the Committee on Accident Prevention of the Canadian Public Health Association. Some of Dr. Brown's files incorporate material produced by Donald Fraser, and there are also some of the latter's files.

Included is correspondence, memoranda and notes, financial records, grant applications, lecture notes, minutes, reports, addresses, manuscripts, publications and photoprints.

This accession contains mainly correspondence, photographs, memorabilia and diplomas from all three members of the family. Of particular note are the diaries of Sir J.C. McLennan for the last two years of his life as well as well as geological field notebooks and expense books.

Fonds consists of material documenting the professional and personal life of Prof. Tuppil Venkatacharya. Records cover his collection and research of Sanskrit literature through correspondence, typescripts, annotated texts, translations and transliterations, and recordings of some of his academic presentations. Also included in the material is documentation of the community Sanskrit classes taught by the scholar (Series 10) as well as his and his wife’s, Vijaya Venkatacharya’s, involvement in Toronto’s South Asian community.
