His role as an adept administrator is documented not only in Series 3 (University of Toronto Administration) but also in the records found in Series 4 (Advocacy) and Series 5 (Professional Associations) where his leadership and involvement on committees is evident. Prof. Rayside’s academic interests coincided with his political activism and this is well documented in Series 4 (Advocacy) seen in reference to records in Series 7 (Books) and Series 8 (Articles, Papers and Talks) that extensively document his research and writing. Finally his roles as a teacher and mentor are well documented in Series 6 (Letters of Recommendations and Evaluations) and in Series 9 (Teaching).

This fonds is divided into 6 series according to format. These are: Textual Material, Photographs, Audio Material, Video Material, Cinefilms and Artifacts.
The first series, Textual Material, includes files pertaining to the production contracts for recording sessions, as well as other financial and legal documents, correspondence, notes and lyrics. Also included is paperwork related to Latent Records (artist contracts, financial journals and correspondence with other labels). Of particular significance are Margo Timmins’ and Michael Timmins’ tour diaries, Michael’s handwritten lyrics and Margo’s handwritten annotations to lyric sheets. This series also features thousands of press clippings and periodicals ranging from Rolling Stone to esoteric fanzines.
The second series, Photographs, includes photos (many taken by Margo or Michael Timmins) of recording sessions, tours, TV show appearances, special occasions, and performances. Also included are publicity photos and pictures given to the band by their fans.
The third series, Audio Material, includes cassette recordings of the band’s first live performances, as well as radio appearances and interviews. Early rehearsals and the first demos are also included here, as are the complete recording sessions used to create Whites Off Earth Now! and The Trinity Session. Perhaps most valuable are the session tapes, rough mixes, final mixes, discarded final mixes, overdub sessions and multi-track master tapes used to create each of the Cowboy Junkies’ albums (including Sharon, which was never released to the public). This series also includes the Hunger Project single and both albums by Germinal.
The fourth series, Video Material, consists of each of the band’s music videos, as well as many of the production elements for those videos. This series also includes videos that were produced but never used, and several hours of footage shot by the band while on tour and while recording. Of particular note is the footage shot during the band’s first cross Canada tour, and the footage shot for the recording of Sharon. VHS dubs of most of the band’s television performances are also included here.
The fifth series, Cinefilms, consists of 2 reels of 16mm colour negative featuring the Cowboy Junkies circa 1990.
The sixth series, Artifacts, includes backstage passes, stage props, awards, gifts from fans, posters, tshirts, hats, and handpainted drum skins.

Fonds consists of the personal records of Prof. David R. Cameron, political scientist. The majority of the records document Prof. Cameron’s work with the federal and provincial governments, rather than his academic work.

Much of the fonds documents Prof. Cameron’s work with the federal and Ontario governments on constitutional renewal, national unity, and French-English relations in the late 1970s and 1980s. In particular, there is significant documentation of the Pépin-Robarts Task Force on Canadian Unity, and Cameron’s work with the Federal-Provincial Relations Office. Prof. Cameron’s work on post-secondary education with the Secretary of State is also well documented, as is his work on constitutional renewal and Ontario-Quebec relations with the Ontario government in the 1990s.

Records relating to this government service include day planners and steno pads, correspondence and memos, briefings, news clippings, government documents, reports, proposals, research and background files, travel records, contracts, drafts and revisions, and meeting agendas, minutes and briefings.

Fonds also includes records relating to Prof. Cameron’s involvement with the Romanow Commission on the Future of Health Care in Canada (2001-2003), the Walkerton Inquiry (2001-2002), and the Sri Lankan peace process (2002-2005).

Academic records include employment records, correspondence, some conference files, and publication files, especially those related to his Patterns of Association project (1997-2006).

The majority of the records in this fonds is sheet music resulting from collaborations with other musicians, arrangements by Doug Riley, or original compositions. Although the fonds consists largely of jazz music, there is a wide variety of genres including classical music represented. Audio recordings could prove useful in the understanding of Doug Riley's performances or musical techniques.

Throughout his career Doug Riley collaborated in a variety of projects including composing music for theatre, television, awards shows, and social events. The fonds includes evidence of these projects including scripts, itineraries, storyboards, etc.

Also included in the fonds is correspondence between Doug Riley and other prominent figures in the music industry. Many set lists included in the fonds could provide insights into the performances of Doug Riley.

Cowan when he was a research associate in the Banting and Best Department of Medical Research and in the Department of Teaching Laboratories, Faculty of Medicine.

Also includes a photograph of the Toronto School of Medicine, graduating class of 1870-1871; graduates, including George Hoyle Cowan, are identified on the front. Also accompanied by graduation diplomas.
