Contains notes and transcribed letters taken by Ann Robson as part of research on Helen Taylor (womens’ rights suffragist, daughter of Harriet Taylor Mill, 1808-1858, and stepdaughter of philosopher and economist John Stuart Mill, 1806-1873). Includes transcriptions of letters exchanged between members of the Mill-Taylor family, as well as general notes on other 19th and 20th century writing on the subject of women’s rights.
The notes appear to have been taken during Robson’s consultation of a number of different archival collections at different institutions, which she noted in the margins. The bulk of the notes appear to refer to the Mill-Taylor collection held at the London School of Economics (LSE).

Contains the only known records of Captain Fritz Hauch Eden Crowe. The collection comprises of two leaves from a scrapbook, which has pasted-in watercolours and clippings, as well as three singular watercolours and one pencil drawing. These eleven watercolours and two pencil drawings were made during the course of his travels as a British naval officer and Consul-General to Portuguese East Africa at the following locations: Bahia Blanca (Argentina), Chupat, Patagonia (Argentina), Colonia, Rio Plata (Uruguay), Santa Catarina and Anhatomirim Island (Brazil), Simambaya Island (off the coast of Lamu, Kenya), Cape Verde (off the Senegalese coast), Egypt and Ascension Island (South Atlantic Ocean, 1600 km from the coast of Africa). Collected clippings demonstrate Crowe’s interest in naval history and exploration. Crowe’s papers also contain personal correspondence, notably three letters written to his mother (1863, 1872, 1878), and one to his grandfather as a 14 year old naval cadet. Correspondence and documentation also relates to his career as a naval officer and consul-general including a commission document, a letter of introduction and a letter from Crowe requesting retirement. The collected papers comprises some estate documents, such as an original codicil to Crowe’s will, which makes arrangements for his young daughter, as well as documents outlining the distribution of inheritance from his Uncle and his parents.

Contains the personal archives of Lester Douglas of four artists: Earl Horter, Hans Foy, David Karfunkle and Barbara Shermund. Douglas was acquainted with these artists through his role as the Director of Art and Printing for the Chamber of Commerce of the United States and through his work as a typographer and book designer. These collections include original artworks from all four artists, including drawings, paintings, etchings and engravings, some of them inscribed with dedications to Douglas. Apart from Horter, the artworks are contained in portfolios created by Douglas. Also included is correspondence from Horter and Foy to Douglas, as well as some ephemera, such as newspaper clippings and exhibition pamphlets for Horter, Foy and Karfunkle.

This collection consists of the bulk of material including the research, manuscript drafts, proofs and correspondence for most of Bacque's fiction and non-fiction works, both published and unpublished. It also includes a large collection of POW correspondence Bacque received after publishing his book Other Losses, which he used for research into his follow-up, Crimes and Mercies. Other material in the collection include manuscripts for Bacques journalism work, along with correspondence and editing work he did with Seal Books in the 1970s.

The collection consists of materials relating to the anti-Vietnam War activities of Ann Buttrick. Topics include civil liberties, Canadian policy vis-a-vis the United States, and the Annie Mae Aquash case. Papers were created in connection with The International Committee to Free South Vietnamese Political Prisoners from Detention, Torture and Death, which was a committee of the Canadian Council of Churches, and Voice of Women, a non-governmental organization, and the Canadian Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). They include correspondence, Vietnamese government publications, audio recordings of Toronto events, newspaper clippings, and printed matter.

Collection consists of forms relating to the civil and military governments of Upper and Lower Canada. Most are printed and completed in manuscript, some in manuscript only. Many forms document the salaries and pensions paid by the Province of Quebec (later Lower Canada). Two (1815 and 1817) are for Upper Canada. These are filed as "disbursements"; military payments as "warrants"; others include: receipts, powers of attorney, military "ordinaries" and "extraordinaries", etc
There are a variety of signatures on each document, including those of the governor, secretary, recipient or attorney for the recipient, etc. Only a few were definitely printed in Canada: byT.Cary and Co and by J. Neilson in Quebec. There is no imprint on most of them-they could have been printed in Canada.

Papers consist of editorial files for Impulse magazine from 1975-1990. Files for each volume include submissions to the journal, drafts with editorial corrections and page proofs. Many files include additional editorial material, such as advertising, cover art, rejected submissions and correspondence. The collection includes an office archive, which contains correspondence, financial information (with grant proposals), advertising and promotional material, and circulation and distribution records. There is a large number of original art boards and other oversized materials, such as posters. The editorial records of I Shot Mussolini by Eldon Garnet is also included along with related correspondence.

Contains anatomical drawings and illustrations from Stephen Gilbert’s publications and professional life as an anatomical illustrator. Collection notably includes anatomical drawings of the adult human, adult embryo, cat, fetal pig, dogfish, necturus, frog and other assorted zoology. Includes accessions from 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2015. Accessions from the gifts of 2001 and 2003 were catalogued separately. For additional drawings and illustrations from Outline of Cat Anatomy with Reference to the Human (University of Toronto Press, 2000) and Atlas of General Zoology (Burgess Publishing Co., 1991), Anatomy of the Fetal Pig (University of Washington Press, 1963). These accessions were amalgamated into finding aid in 2018 and the entire collection was given the number of MS Coll. 413. The collection previously had the number of MS Coll. 289.

It also contains material relating to his book Peterley Harvest: The Private Diary of David Peterley (1960) and to his unpublished memoirs. There are also letters from various English authors and correspondence and papers relating to his work as librarian and secretary of the National Liberal Club in London, England, in the 1930s. Some of the later material relates to Pennington's private press publications.

The collection includes some photographs and a postcard of Pidduck and other soldiers, two World War I pay books belonging to Pidduck, a certificate of authorization to drive and a journal, documenting his life as a soldier in Canada, England and France in 1916. The journal outlines his daily life, where he chauffeured people to, what he did with his free time, to whom he spoke and where he moved to. He stops writing in December of 1916 after nearly a year of consistent entries.
