Binder 18 - Discussions Groups

Binder contains 320 colour slides depicting student and faculty discussion and study groups, lectures, the UTSC grounds, and astronomy. The binder contains handwritten labels "Counseling Services", "In/Outdoor Art Classes", "Psychology Experiment", "Botany", and "Astronomy -> Observatory". Some slides are labeled "SS", "PHY", "CH", "PHYSC", "BOT", "AST", and "GEO". It is assumed that "PHY" and "PHYSC" represents physics, "CH" represents chemistry, "BOT" represents botany, "AST" represents astronomy, and "GEO" represents geography.

File contains menu for the Tait-Zinkand Cafe. American-style menu, possibly a special dinner menu. Front cover is a painting of two farmers among bails of hay. Address is 168 O'Farrell Street, San Francisco, California.

Note in blue pen written on back cover: "[JFD?] and friends truly dine here very often. And you see why [?] you auto lights. Best wishes, [Dickee?]"

Menus from the United States - California (D-G) (1927-1960s)

File contains booklet style menus. Menus feature Chinese cuisine including Chop Suey and Chow Mein. Menu from the Dinuba Café has the date Oct. 21, 1927 written at the top in blue ink. The menu is also stained. Evelyn’s Chow Mein Cafe is also stained and features prices written in hand in blue ink. Other menus in this file feature significant grease and food stains.

File consists of trifold, sheet and booklet style menus. Menus are from San Francisco, Palm Springs, Davis, Santa Monica, Alhambra and Berkeley. Cuisines highlighted in the menus include Hong Kong Clay Pot cuisine, seafood, Thai, Japanese and Chinese (Cantonese, Szechuan and Yunnan).
