This fonds contains records related to the researching and publishing activities of Professor John Greer Slater, philosopher and professor at the University of Toronto. The series documenting both his research on Bertrand Russell, and the publication of his book Minerva’s Aviary, are the two largest. There is also a relatively large amount of material documenting his administrative activities within the Department of Philosophy at the University of Toronto and his book collecting. Throughout this fonds there are a lot of press clippings, particularly in his personal and autobiographical records, though there are also many in the Bertrand Russell series and the Department of Philosophy Series.

The records include correspondence, notes, drafts, manuscripts, press clippings and photographs.

The bulk of the records are contained in accession B2014-0039. Also included are 2 boxes of correspondence, memoranda, reports, monographs and newspaper clippings accumulated by Professor Slater as a member of the Provost's Committee to Review the Relationships between the University of Toronto and OISE (accession B1985-0026) found in Series 3.

Fifty-five glass lantern slides document helium experiments that took place in Department of Physics in the 1920s. They originally belonged to Prof. Joseph O. Wilhelm, lecturer and co-author with J.C. McLennan of various articles. The slides were used to illustrate these articles and may also have been used for teaching. Includes original spectrographic data for the Raman Effect, views of scientific laboratory equipment, mostly likely the helium laboratory, as well as line drawings of the Helium Liquefier and the Oxygen Apparatus.

Approximately 3500 to 4000, 3.25 x 4.25 inch glass plate negatives and roll film negatives taken by K.B. Jackson, Chairman of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science from 1942 to 1963. Subjects include: the W.W.I. military from Canada (Petawawa) and Europe; France, Germany, England and Scotland (1923); and Jackson family photos. Many of the photographs concern the University of Toronto: exteriors and interiors of professors’ houses (1920-1939); portraits of university professors (1920-1939); Hart House theatricals and Camera Club; and the first snowmobile prototype. There are also photographic land survey experiments, photographic aerial survey experiments, and physics lab experiments.

A research paper entitled "The March on Ottawa: A Study of the Committee for an Independent Canada," compiled and written by Robert George Clarke while a final year student in the Department of History; also research files consisting of a brief, with background articles and press clippings, submitted on 23 June, 1973 by the Committee for an Independent Canada to the House of Commons' Standing Committee on Finance, Trade and Economic Affairs regarding Bill C-132, which became the Foreign Investment Review Act.

Fonds consists of materials written by Feilding in his academic and administrative capacities, including unpublished book manuscripts, articles, sermons, radio broadcasts, newsletters, daybooks, and notes. The subject matter is weighted towards explication and criticism of the Marriage Canon as well as divorce and homosexuality under Anglican Church law. The fonds also contains research materials collected by Feilding (journal and magazine articles, newspaper clippings, pamphlets, and books), correspondence (predominantly with H.R.S. Ryan) and minutes from the Commission on Marriage and Related Matters. Also included is a pastel drawing of Feilding by Constance Wingert.

Fonds consists of the administrative records and research papers of The Divinity 150 Project. It includes organizational documents, research notes and materials, surveys completed by divinity students, oral history recordings, copies of the database on floppy disks, and drafts of a planned book.

The fonds consists of a scrapbook in which Charleson records his student experiences as a member of the class of 2T6 and describes some Trinity traditions and events. Receipts from financial transactions, programs from theatre productions and debates, and dinner menus document many of Charleson's activities. Newspaper clippings reflect contemporary life during Charleson's years at Trinity.

The records cover Dr. Eichler’s professional work: speeches, publications, and correspondence; legal work; important documentation regarding the Coalition for the Establishment of a Royal Commission on New Reproductive Technologies, as well as follow up material related to the Commission. Eichler served as part of the committee that established five new Women’s Studies chairs at Canadian institutions and that work and process is documented here. These accessions of personal records provide a fairly complete representation of Samuel Hollander’s professional life as an academic. The accessions cover his entire career from his student days at the London School of Economics to his retirement from the University of Toronto in 1998 and his appointment at Ben-Gurion University in Beer-Sheva, Israel in 2000. Correspondence, found in the various series gives a rich commentary on his professional endeavours and gives a good overview of the debates surrounding Hollander’s work. Lecture notes and taped lectures document how his ideas were taught in the classroom and his Ph.D. files found in Series 5 show his dedication to the teaching and mentor roles for which he is so highly regarded.

This project was begun in 1987 to study the Anglican clergy, in particular their training at the Cobourg Theological Institute and its successor, the Faculty of Divinity at Trinity College. Her research focused on the women who studied Divinity at Trinity College from 1915 to 1987. Fonds contains research obtained from records in the Trinity College Archives, and from surveys answered by former students. The fonds also contains a paper and course materials by Alison Kemper, a published paper by Meredith Hill as well as her presentation to the Divinity 150 Colloquium.

Fonds consist of personal documents, notebooks, correspondence, and official documents from Richard H. Steacy’s student days at Trinity College, his time as Chaplain during the First World War, and his role in the church community following the war. Files also include newspaper clippings, poems written by Steacy and others, bibles, photographs and several artefacts from the war.

Fonds consists mainly of files relating to both the administrative and public activities of the Atlantic Council of Canada during the years when Robert A. Spencer (RAS) was executive director of the Council. Also included are files relating to the ACC's involvement with the Canadian government, the North Atlantic Treaty Association, the Atlantic Treaty Association (ATA), the Committee on Atlantic Studies (CAS), and the Turkish Atlantic Council.

Fonds consist of letters written by Professor William Clark to J.M. Snowdon and his daughter, Kathleen.

Fonds documents all aspects of Trinity College's program of granting in absentia music degrees in Britain from its inception in 1885 to its demise in 1891. Included in this material is correspondence with practicing musicians, with those administering the program in Britain, and with various university and government officials. There are administrative records such as calendars, degree requirements and formal examination papers. Formal and legal documents, such as the “Memorial” and responses to it, as well as communications with university chancellors show the increasing opposition to the program. Many newspaper and journal clippings document these events.
