Laurie Kahn (Frank Plumpton Ramsey) Papers
Correspondence and research about Frank Plumpton Ramsey (1903-1930), mathematician, philosopher, economist. Ramsey biographer Laura Leavitt-Kahn gathered letters from old school friends of Ramsey, from Winchester School to colleagues and students at Cambridge. Included are her notes and research for the biography, which was never completed. Correspondence from Ramsey’s wife, Lettice, is also present. Copies of some of his work and correspondence to his parents, Wittgenstein and others form part of this material. Originals of these are held by Ramsey’s grandson.

Instructional Manuals on the Cree Language by Anne Anderson
Collection contains nineteen Cree language instruction manuals written and independently published by Anne Anderson, which includes books designed for children at the elementary level as well as books written for older students and adults. The collection contains a small amount of archival material including two letters from Anne Anderson to James Fidelholtz, where she discusses her reasoning for choosing to teach Cree, “I being of Indian and white blood is doing this type of work as it concern the many different tribes. Only now after years of being looked down upon, we are looked upon as truly human beings.” As well as her qualifications in teaching, “If you are not Cree and if you do not speak the language, all the degrees in the world will not help. You need to have lived the life of an Indian and be fluent in the language and traditions to hold a degree in teaching this language.”
Also included in the collection are a collaborative book in Cree instruction produced by the Department of Education in Alberta in 1969, as well as four books written by Indigenous students attending Federal residential and day schools (Kingfisher Lake Indian Day School, Fort George Residential School, and Deer Lake Indian Day School), which were printed by the Department of Indian Affairs and the Education Division of Indian Affairs Branch of Indian Affairs and Northern Development.

The collection consists of materials relating to the anti-Vietnam War activities of Ann Buttrick. Topics include civil liberties, Canadian policy vis-a-vis the United States, and the Annie Mae Aquash case. Papers were created in connection with The International Committee to Free South Vietnamese Political Prisoners from Detention, Torture and Death, which was a committee of the Canadian Council of Churches, and Voice of Women, a non-governmental organization, and the Canadian Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). They include correspondence, Vietnamese government publications, audio recordings of Toronto events, newspaper clippings, and printed matter.

The collection consists of draft manuscripts of Payerle's various works, including The Afterpeople (1970), Wolfbane Fane (1977), Two from Babylon (1990) and The Weather and That (1993). It also includes drafts of his unpublished poems and prose, papers documenting his involvement with The Writers' Union of Canada, and correspondence from other writers in the Union and those whose work he edited.

A collection of David Young's correspondence, literary manuscripts, business papers, and ephemera. Correspondence includes both business and personal matters from the late 1960s to 1995. The literary papers include multiple drafts and the galleys for his novels Incognito and Agent Provocateur, the notes and drafts for some of his most successful dramatic works, among them Fire, and Glenn, and many TV scripts. Also included are several of his adaptations of works by other authors for radio, such as Carol Shield's Swann, and Michael Ondaatje's In the Skin of a Lion and The English Patient. Drafts of works by other authors edited by Young and his own manuscripts edited by others, including Michael Ondaatje, are also included. The business papers relate to The Writer's Union of Canada, The Writers' Trust, The For/Words Foundation, Coach House Press and The Baffin Island Project. The ephemera documents the Toronto arts scene.
