Fonds consists of the compositions, recordings, and papers of Derek Holman, a former professor at the Faculty of Music, University of Toronto. The fonds contains manuscript scores and parts by Derek Holman, including original compositions, arrangements and realizations, juvenilia, and sketch materials; audio and video recordings of Holman’s compositions and performances; papers and photographs from Holman’s work with various choirs and churches (including at the University of London, University of Toronto, University of Trinity College, Bishop-Strachan, Royal School of Church Music, St. Simon’s, Concord Singers, Croydon Bach Society, Grace Church-on-the-Hill, and the Canadian Children’s Opera Company); and, Holman’s personal papers, including awards, certificates, degrees, and notebooks.

Letter, dated 24 February, 1842, from Henry Boys, Bursar of King's College, to Richard Birdsall of Belleville, surveyor to the Canada Company and surveyor of the land on which King's College was built, requesting him not to seize the timber on Lot No. 18 in the 14th concession of Seymour Township, which the College had sold to E.D.S. Wilkins.

Fonds consists of letters (1929-1962) that Gertrude Knighton's mother, Elizabeth (Lili) Louisa Boeschenstein, wrote to her mother, Emma Schoch-Walter, and her older sister, Emmeli Schoch; Lili Schoch's exercise books that she compiled to teach children [191-]; letters to her and Hermann Boeschenstein from their families in Switzerland, 1928- ca. 1947; correspondende between Hermann and Lili (1930-1955) and with their children, principally Frank and Gertrude (1944-1963). Includes a number of postcards and a few photographs. Many of the letters are written in German, and some in Old German.

Includes personal correspondence with family, friends, politicians, colleagues at University of Toronto including Robertson Davies as well as other academic institutions, mainly following his retirement; speeches, arrangements for his 90th birthday celebration dinner at Hart House. Also includes correspondence and other papers relating to Hart House memorial on his death and matters relating to his estate. 1913-1983.

As well there are research materials, manuscripts for published and unpublished works, and a few files relating to administrative functions in the department of Geography at Erindale College and additional files on the Planning and Priorities Subcommittee.

Fonds consists of sheet music used by Edith McConica when she accompanied silent films in Luseland, Saskatchewan in the 1920s, as well as some pedagogical sheet music used when she was learning piano from Leora Kridler (Mrs. Milton Herrold) in her home town of Findlay, Ohio, and teaching her children piano in Luseland.
