John Weinzweig

File consists of copies of newspaper articles and programs featuring John Weinzweig and a copy of a memorandum from CBC AM Radio regarding two radio shows on Weinzweig (1973). Weinzweig (1913-2006) taught at the Faculty of Music in the University of Toronto from 1952 until his retirement in 1978.

Victor Feldbrill

File consists of a copy of an interview with the Canadian conductor and violinist Victor Feldbrill (b. 1924), conducted by Gwen Storr.

Helmut Max Kallmann

File consists of a copy of the speech given by Dean John Beckwith of the Faculty of Music to the Chancellor of the University for the award of the degree Doctor of Laws (honoris causa) to Helmut Max Kallmann at the University of Toronto Convocation 1971.

Harvey Olnick

File consists of correspondence sent to Harvey Olnick from Elizabeth Hazelton Haight, Anton Kuerti, Claude Bissell, R. Murray Schafer, Robert Aitken, and Harry Somers.

Godfrey Ridout

File consists of programs that included performances of pieces by Godfrey Ridout and copies of newspaper clippings about Ridout. Ridout (1918-1984) began teaching at the Toronto Conservatory of Music in 1940, before joining the Faculty of Music at the University of Toronto (1948-1982).

Norman Wilks

File consists of two copies of a speech given by Sir Ernest MacMillan at the unveiling of a portrait of Norman Wilks (1885-1944), who taught at the Toronto Conservatory of Music (1928-1944). The file also contains a clipping of the newspaper article "'Met' head to accept Conservatory portrait" regarding the acceptance of the portrait by Edward Johnson on behalf of the Toronto Conservatory of Music.

John Beckwith

File consists of copies of newspaper articles and programs featuring John Beckwith, as well as a pamphlet from BMI Canada Limited on the composer, and two programs from performances by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra with program notes by Beckwith.

Oskar Morawetz

File consists of programs and posters for concerts featuring works by Oskar Morawetz, and copies of newspaper articles, correspondence, and programs. The file includes copies of letters from Coretta Scott King, regarding the Morawetz's compositions written in tribute to her husband Martin Luther King, Jr.; from Rose Kennedy regarding Morawetz's composition written in memory of her son John F. Kennedy; from Edward Johnson regarding the dedication of Morawetz's composition "Land of Dreams"; and from Otto Frank regarding the premiere of Morawetz's "From the Diary of Anne Frank." A copy of the vocal score for "From the Diary of Anne Frank" is also included in the file, with a handwritten dedication from the composer to Jean Lavender, inscribed "with best wishes and many thanks for building the Music Library at the Faculty of Music of the University of Toronto."

File consists of correspondence between Helmut Kallman and Ethelwyn Harlow (University Archivist) regarding Kallman's research and subsequent article on James Paton Clarke (1807 or 1808 to 1881), written for The Dictionary of Canadian Biography/Dictionnaire biographique du Canada (DCB).
