Speeches

Subseries consists of speaking notes and speeches Graham delivered during his time as interim leader of the Liberal Party and Leader of the Opposition.

Leadership 2006

Subseries consists of records pertaining to the Liberal Party of Canada and its Leadership convention in November/December 2006.

Invitation Regrets

Subseries consists of invitations, tracking dockets, and, often the regrets sent, for events and meetings Graham was invited to when he was Leader of the Official Opposition.

Files

Subseries consists of files documenting the topics that Graham dealt with as Leader of the Opposition, notably legislative briefing and subject material, speaking notes for Question Period, and party and caucus management issues.

Travel Binders

Subseries documents Graham's travel as Minister of National Defence. This includes a complete record of his travel as documented through correspondence with the Prime Minister's Office, as well as briefing binders for specific trips.

Subseries consists of speeches and addresses, often with annotations and reference notes, Graham delivered as Minister of National Defence.

Transition Binders

Subseries consists of two briefing binders presented to Graham when he became Minister of National Defence which contain important material for him to know to understand his new role and ministry.

Subseries consists of several files on subjects and issues Graham encountered while Minister of National Defence. The files are arranged alphabetically and primarily contain memoranda and briefing and policy documents.

Question Period

Subseries consists of excerpts of Hansard organized under topics of interest to Graham. Many excerpts include remarks he delivered during Question Period in the House of Commons about topics that fell under his purview as Minister for National Defence.

Subseries consists of files containing correspondence with notable individuals, briefing documents, and newspaper articles from Graham's time as Minister of National Defence. The files were presumably in the possession of Michelle Lobo, Graham's legislative assistant, as suggested by the "Files (from Michelle)" label on the original box.

Binders

Subseries is several binders containing reference and briefing material Graham used during his time as Minister of National Defence. The contents of the binders have been moved into folders and the binders discarded. The binders were either compiled by, or in the possession of, Michelle Lobo, Graham's legislative assistant, as suggested by the "Binders (from Michelle)" label on the original box.

Arar Appearance

Subseries consists of files documenting Graham's preparation for testifying before the Commission of Inquiry into the Actions of Canadian Officials in Relation to Maher Arar, including transcripts and video recordings of his testimony, and the Commission's final report. The subseries also includes files documenting legal cases similar in nature to Mr. Arar's.

Subseries consists of files about the various issues discussed and investigated by the committee during Graham's tenure. The contents generally include reports, expert and stakeholder testimony, related correspondence, and committee memoranda.

Subseries documents the conferences, meetings, and locations Graham travelled to as the chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade. Special Joint Parliamentary Committee Reviewing Foreign Policy

Subseries consists of the records of a joint House of Commons/Senate committee that reviewed various aspects of Canada's foreign policy, of which Graham was a member. Files are organized alphabetically by titled, and contents are grouped by the subject matter examined by the committee.

Subseries consists of subject files pertaining to issues and organizations Graham encountered or was involved with during his tenure as a member of Parliament.

Agendas

Subseries consists of agendas used by Graham and his staff to organize his schedule during his time as a member of Parliament.

Correspondence

Subseries consists of correspondence between Graham, his constituents, other politicians, and relevant parties sent during his first term as a member of Parliament. The subseries is organized according to a topical filing system maintained by Graham's office.

Subseries consists of personal and political correspondence, divided into several categories, sent to and from Graham during his time as Leader of the Opposition and in months preceding his retirement from politics. The file also contains badges from Liberal Party conventions.

D.N.D.

Subseries consists primarily of personal and political correspondence to and from friends and colleagues during Graham's tenure as Minister of National Defence.

SCFAIT

Subseries consists of memorabilia from Graham's tenure as a chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade, primarily correspondence, event programs, and publications.

Foreign Affairs

Subseries consists primarily of personal and political correspondence to and from friends and colleagues during Graham's tenure as Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Lift to Strachan Hall

This sub-series consists of a suite of drawings documenting the construction of a lift from the main hall to the Strachan Hall level, and modifications to the Divinity Common Room.

Athletic Field Upgrade

This sub-series consists of 4 printed drawings showing the changes made to Trinity's athletic field, north of the College buildings, and south of Varsity Stadium.

Renovations to Body and Welch Houses

This sub-series consists of 18 items including the "as built" drawings of the architectural, electrical, and mechanical plans. The drawings bear the stamp, "Govan, Kaminker, Azzalino, Architects, Nov 25, 1986". The architectural plans are Set No. 12, signed by Glenn A.A. Stevenson. Electrical plans were prepared by D. A. Sharkey, R.P.E., and mechanical plans by L. M. Bennett, R.P.E., of McGregor-Allsop Ltd, Consulting Engineers, Markham.
