The collection covers the mechanization and modernization of the flute, including the addition of holes and keys, and the move from wood to metal for the body of the flute.

Series consists of a promotional booklet and poster, which feature the same photograph and include excerpts of newspaper reviews of his performances. Series also includes his wooden conductor's baton.

Series also includes drawings and watercolours of Kathleen Parlow.
