The collection consists of several diaries written during trips to the United States and England during the 1850s and 1860s in search of building funds for Trinity College. From his three trips to the United States in 1852 and 1853 there are five notebooks as well as a letter concerning a resolution towards the endowment of Trinity College. There are 98 Cartes de Visite as well as an extensive diary from his 1864 trip to England.

Archibald Hope (A.H.) Young Collection
The collection consists of material related to Young’s academic interest in the Anglican Church in Canada and its related people, records related to Young’s time as an administrator of Trinity College, and some material from his personal life. The fonds contains original and copied research material accumulated by Young from various sources, written by John Strachan, his family and contemporaries. Other research interests included Bishop Mountain, the Stewart family, and Trinity College. Published and unpublished manuscripts, Young’s correspondence relating to the administration of Trinity College, and personal artefacts and photographs, are included.

Fonds consists of textual material and photographs relating to the Hicks family. Some material relates to the university career of RKH and includes research notes, articles, translations, book reviews, and poetry in the field of French literature. The majority of the material includes draft copies of RKH’s memoirs as well as diaries that he kept in the years leading up to his retirement in 1953 until his death in 1964. Some of the material relates to RKH’s personal life, including family correspondence, Christmas poems, and records pertaining to the life and amateur pursuits of Marjorie Ogilvy Edgar Hicks, including a scrapbook and two drafts of various chapters of an incomplete historical novel. Some material relates to the education and career of RKH’s son, John Edgar Hicks, including family correspondence and financial documents.

Fonds consists of materials written by Feilding in his academic and administrative capacities, including unpublished book manuscripts, articles, sermons, radio broadcasts, newsletters, daybooks, and notes. The subject matter is weighted towards explication and criticism of the Marriage Canon as well as divorce and homosexuality under Anglican Church law. The fonds also contains research materials collected by Feilding (journal and magazine articles, newspaper clippings, pamphlets, and books), correspondence (predominantly with H.R.S. Ryan) and minutes from the Commission on Marriage and Related Matters. Also included is a pastel drawing of Feilding by Constance Wingert.

The fonds consists of lectures, speeches (in person and on radio broadcasts), and sermons given by Seeley in his capacity as priest, religious leader, and provost. Files include programmes from services, events, and conferences, pamphlets written by Seeley, notebooks, and correspondence between Seeley and others. Fonds also includes letters received by Mrs. Seeley after her husband’s death, newspaper clippings and obituaries, official documents, photographs, and a printing plate.

The fonds includes correspondence, diaries, writings, lecture and reading notes on various topics related to his position as an English professor, including a diploma, a diary, and one photograph. Also included is material from the many committees and societies with which he was involved such as the Trinity College Major Study Group and the Johnson Society.

St Hilda's Alumnae Association/St Hilda's College Council
This fonds is largely devoted to the minutes of the semi-annual and annual meetings of the St Hilda’s College Alumnae Association (SHCAA) and the finances of the association as well as minutes of its executive committee meetings. The reports in the minutes include details of the various social activities of the SHCAA and its relationships with other organizations (eg, Canadian Federation of University Women, Local Council of Women and several charitable groups). Finally the fonds has an eclectic mix of material relating to various activities of the SHCAA and to some graduates of the College.
Much of the early material suffered considerable water damage at some point in the past: some had to be discarded and other material was photocopied and then discarded. In consequence there are gaps in the early activities of the association. Later material arrived intermittently and there are no minutes for the years 1986/7-1995/6.

There are some 100 lantern slides that Mercer was famous for using in his lectures. Some of these slides by photographer A.J. Reading show titles for the images; however there is no listing of them.

Cartwright and Wood Families fonds
Fonds consists of records relating to three generations of the Cartwright family, their relatives, friends and colleagues. Most prominent are the papers of Mabel Cartwright, which includes correspondence with her family and relatives, diaries, notebooks and photographs.
Correspondence and other records from earlier generations of Cartwrights are included, most from Mabel Cartwright’s parents dating from the late 1860s to the early 1920s. Letters from Mabel Cartwright’s siblings, including Stephen, a missionary in Japan, are included. Financial and legal documents are included from the time Mabel Cartwright lived with her sister Winifred. The fonds also contains material accumulated and written by Hilda Fern Wood about Mabel Cartwright, and some records relating to the Wood family.

The fond consists of a scrapbook containing photographs with interspersed textual material that documents the early lives of Mary Hore Disher, her family, her husband and his family, as well as the history of Trinity College and its students during the time of her attendance from 1933 to 1935.

Fonds consists of records kept by W.B. Crowe while a student at the Trinity Medical College (1892-1896) and for several years after graduation. Files include lecture notes and examination papers; printed ‘admission cards’ allowing entrance to lectures; receipts from the Registrar; certificates from the various levels of his training; programs from Medical College social functions including the annual dinners (1892-1895); speeches; commencement programs; notebooks; and papers relating to his time in Scotland. Also included is a prescription book with initial date of March 1894 that seems to have been used throughout his career as a physician. Photographs include a tintype of W.B Crowe treating a patient, a photograph of the dissecting class, and a class photograph. Also included is a clipping from the Toronto Globe and Mail showing the graduating class composite picture for 1895-6.

The fonds is largely a collection of correspondence between various members of the Clarkson family, spanning most of their lives from 1904 to about 1963. A substantial amount of the material focuses on their travels and the primary recipient is Alice Baines Clarkson. The fonds consists of records kept by Stephen Reynolds during the course of his adult life. These include correspondence with family, friends, and colleagues that illuminate his personal life, his Christian faith, and his various pastoral and intellectual pursuits. Carbon copies of many outgoing letters were created and kept. Reynolds kept an intermittent diary through the time period represented here. These were sometimes typed, and often handwritten in small notebooks. He apparently removed pages from these notebooks and inserted them in files with correspondence and other material from the same time period.
Other records include academic papers, research material, sermons, prayers, drafts of manuscripts, course materials, and some official documents such as academic transcripts.
