Minor incidents are recorded here such as on July 17 “warning bell touched by accident” and the following day “cables are entangled in tank”. The cables become much more detailed toward the end of July and the second part of this signal journal describes the successful attempt to refind the 1865 cable repair it and complete its connection with Newfoundland.]
