Fonds consists of records documenting Wolfe and Gertler’s research collaborations through several initiatives including POIS (Project on Ontario’s Innovation System), PROGRIS (Program on Globalization and Regional Innovation Systems), the ISRN (Innovation Systems Research Network), and ONRIS (Ontario Network on the Regional Innovation System). There is also documentation of the ISRN’s receipt of two SSHRC MCRI (Major Collaborative Research Initiatives) grants. The ISRN was a network of researchers examining innovation in various cities and regions across Canada. The ISRN was launched in 1998 and received MCRI grants in 2001 and 2006. ONRIS was one of the five subnetworks of the ISRN, was hosted by PROGRIS at the Munk School of Global Affairs, and served as the ISRN’s National Secretariat.

Records include conference and meeting files, research papers, grant applications, reports, and budgets. Digital files further document these research initiatives and the administration of the grants. Included are website backups from 2002, 2005 and 2007, and web archive from 2021.

This collection includes the manuscripts of Rempel’s brother Johann (John) Gerhard Rempel, which have been translated by Rempel. As well as books, articles, manuscripts, diaries and other writing on the topic of Mennonites in Russia, and more widely, which was collected by Rempel for research purposes. In addition, the collection contains a large amount of Rempel’s correspondence with family, friends, scholars and researchers on the topic of Mennonite history.

Records in this fonds document most aspects of Prof. Rayside’s career as an administrator, activist and academic. Series 1 (Biographical) and 2 (Correspondence) give a good overview of his career and the professional correspondence in Series 2 relate to or complete most other series in the fonds. Correspondence can also be found in all other series.

His role as an adept administrator is documented not only in Series 3 (University of Toronto Administration) but also in the records found in Series 4 (Advocacy) and Series 5 (Professional Associations) where his leadership and involvement on committees is evident. Prof. Rayside’s academic interests coincided with his political activism and this is well documented in Series 4 (Advocacy) seen in reference to records in Series 7 (Books) and Series 8 (Articles, Papers and Talks) that extensively document his research and writing. Finally his roles as a teacher and mentor are well documented in Series 6 (Letters of Recommendations and Evaluations) and in Series 9 (Teaching).

Fonds consists of the personal records of Prof. David R. Cameron, political scientist. The majority of the records document Prof. Cameron’s work with the federal and provincial governments, rather than his academic work.

Much of the fonds documents Prof. Cameron’s work with the federal and Ontario governments on constitutional renewal, national unity, and French-English relations in the late 1970s and 1980s. In particular, there is significant documentation of the Pépin-Robarts Task Force on Canadian Unity, and Cameron’s work with the Federal-Provincial Relations Office. Prof. Cameron’s work on post-secondary education with the Secretary of State is also well documented, as is his work on constitutional renewal and Ontario-Quebec relations with the Ontario government in the 1990s.

Records relating to this government service include day planners and steno pads, correspondence and memos, briefings, news clippings, government documents, reports, proposals, research and background files, travel records, contracts, drafts and revisions, and meeting agendas, minutes and briefings.

Fonds also includes records relating to Prof. Cameron’s involvement with the Romanow Commission on the Future of Health Care in Canada (2001-2003), the Walkerton Inquiry (2001-2002), and the Sri Lankan peace process (2002-2005).

Academic records include employment records, correspondence, some conference files, and publication files, especially those related to his Patterns of Association project (1997-2006).

Records assembled by David Grenville relating to two projects on Omond McKillop Solandt: a proposed biography of him (never completed) and a symposium in his honour (1994) that was published as Perspectives in science and technology: the legacy of Omond Solandt. The files for the biography include original documents, research notes, correspondence, notes, manuscripts and addresses by Solandt (1957-1980) and 66 audio cassette tapes (with tape summaries by Jason Ridler) of interviews Grenville did with Solandt and his colleagues. The files on the symposium contain correspondence, minutes of meetings, notes, financial records, and partial drafts and copies of the book. There are also a number of accompanying photographs.

Most of the files deal with issues surrounding the French Department, undergraduate and graduate French courses, including records on course outlines, examinations, and bibliographies (17 boxes, 1938-1985).

B2009-0013: This accession consists of correspondence and subject files on individuals who were colleagues of Prof. Hayne during his 40 years in the Department of French at the University of Toronto. It complements other accessions within this fonds (see list below) since many of the letters relate to the discipline of French language and literature in particular and University College and the University of Toronto in general. Correspondents include, among others, F.A.C. Jeanneret, his former teacher as an undergraduate and other colleagues at University College in the Department of French such as, Paul Perron (Chair, Department of French), C.D. Series 1 consists of professional correspondence broadly documenting David Nowlan’s administrative, teaching, and publishing activities. Series 2 contains records pertaining to his various University of Toronto administrative positions such as Director of the Tanzanian Project, 1968-1973, and Vice President of Research, 1981-1988. Series 3 documents Professor Nowlan’s external consulting activities, notably his work on the 1979 Commonwealth Mission to Uganda and the 1995 Central Area Transportation Study. Series 4 contains records dealing with Professor Nowlan’s various publications. Series 5 documents presentations given and conferences attended by Dr. Nowlan.

Fonds consists of audio cassette recordings produced by Thomas Dilworth, largely consisting of interviews with individuals who personally knew the English poet and artist David Jones, as well as Dilworth’s own notes and observations while visiting locations of significance to Jones throughout the UK, and a series of conversations with Jones at an advanced age.

The recordings were created as part of Dilworth's research for the writing of Jones’ biography, the interviews aim to uncover the realities of Jones’ personal and artistic life, including his friendships and relationships, religious life, his motivations, opinions, habits, and the environments in which he lived. Dilworth compels his interviewees to recount memories and contextualize the details of Jones’ life, often referring to correspondence, written accounts, previous interviews, and his own conversations with Jones prior to his death.

The series also contains electronic records which are copies of the textual and photographic material within the daily calendars and daily activities files. Guest books contain bound books with signatures of visitors to the Lieutenant Governor’s events. Awards and regalia contains material and objects bestowed upon David C.
