The archives contain a range of documentation relating to the foundation, history, and activities of the University of Toronto Scarborough. The materials have been arranged largely by originating department or by medium in the case of publications, photographs, clippings, architectural plans, and artifacts. A1997-0021: Contains records of the investment manager relating to policy, reports, correspondence, minutes, investment funds and pension funds.

A2007-0011: Contains records of the Officer of the Chief Financial Officer predominently pertaining to the separation of the Royal Conservatory of Music from the University of Toronto. Includes Royal Conservatory of Music charter, agreements, reports, and plans. Also consists of the Royal Ontario Museum separation agreement with the University of Toronto and ROM pension agreement.

A1995-0010: Estate and trust files containing wills, financial statements, correspondence, court documents (c1966-1992) for donations to U. of T. Reports to Board of Governors and Governing Council on matters relating to trusts and estates (1956-91); list of benefactors (1947-1958).

Fonds demonstrates Lynch’s professional output over the course of four decades. The body of records primarily represents her written work, while there are also audio-visual recordings of lectures and presentations. Items include: published articles, typed and hand-written speeches and lectures, professional reports, newspaper articles about Lynch, recordings of lectures and presentations, recordings of television and radio appearances.

This fonds contains essays, research, course material and ephemera belonging to Thomas Langan. The files contain six dominant themes including: essays and journal publications, materials from educational committees, course outlines and reference materials, research notes, correspondences and miscellaneous materials. Essays and journal publications include subjects such as: education, philosophy, Christianity, socialism, world events and identity. Course materials focused on philosophy, religion, world issues and technology. Correspondences are primarily focused on professional and academic contacts from other universities or journal publications.

These materials document Langan’s career as an active community member, an academic and a philosopher.

Bata Shoe Company Papers

Includes corporate files from the Canadian Bata Shoe Company (including correspondence; legal and financial records; product development, marketing and promotional files; technical and production-related files, and human resources files). The bulk of the material was created by the Canadian Bata company, however many records relate to several of the oraganization’s international outposts, including companies headed in Africa, India, Asia and Europe. The collection also includes press clippings and other publications about the Bata Company and its historical significance. There are also a small number of Bata family records, primarily for Thomas J. Bata (1914-2008), Sonja I. Bata, Tomáš Baťa (1876-1932) and Marie Bata.
