Menus types included placemat menus, single sheet menus, trifold and four fold menus, five fold, seven fold and menus in booklet style. Some menus are laminated while others are in vinyl enclosures. Menus range from take away and delivery, to eat in and include wine lists, menus for cafes, breakfast menus and menus for cafeteria lunches.

The material is divided into Series 1 Menus. The series is divided into 6 subseries: Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania and South America.

Tiffin menu

A menu used at a luncheon with Li Hung Chung (or Hong Chang) on September 13, 1896.

Lacquer tiffin boxes

Black lacquer boxes with a floral painted pattern. Contains a note from Spiller with the following information: tiffin boxes were collected by a woman who attended the tiffin in honour of Chinese viceroy Li Hung Chung, possibly on the West coast. Tiffins contain dried coconut, watermelon seeds, and preserved bird's nest.

Argonne Inn business card

Business card with miniature menu and mileage list of other attractions in the area. Restaurant was in Alexandria Bay, New York.

Mandarin Cafe, Forbidden Palace postcard

Postcard in card form with menu printed inside. Contains photograph of the Forbidden Palace of the Chinese Emperors on front cover. Restaurant was in San Francisco.

Samuel C. Dutch and Son poster

Double sided folded poster with drawings of pin-up style women with quotes about food or eating. The company possibly made mannequins.

Peking Duck Restaurant [framed menu]

Hand-painted Chinese calligraphy menu in a black frame. On the back is a translation of the menu, "17 course dinner in Kwang Chow," listing the 17 menu items.
